2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, when cut flowers are collected and shipped by cut flower producers, the packaging method is to wrap the cut flowers at their roots, that is, cut edges, with paper containing water and pack them in a water-resistant cardboard box. Alternatively, a method is known in which the cut portion is wrapped with a water-containing paper and a plastic film and packed in a general cardboard box.

However, although cut flowers are packaged and then distributed through a distribution process, they are delivered to fresh flower retailers. The process, that is, the time for carrying is usually longer than one day and night, and in the former method, it is difficult to maintain the freshness of cut flowers because the amount of water supplied to the cut flowers is insufficient compared to the time consumed in this carrying. However, there is a problem that the cardboard box for packaging is severely damaged and the cut flowers are damaged. Further, in the latter method, since sufficient water retention is not ensured, there is a problem that when the bouquet is delivered from the retail store to the customer, the cut flowers lose their freshness and the commercial value thereof decreases significantly. ..

For example, Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open No. 63-33757 discloses an example in which a polymer water-absorbing agent is put in a bag or tube and a cylinder formed of a waterproof material, and the water content of the polymer water-absorbing agent causes Although a method for holding the flower without holding it has been shown, this example has a drawback that it is difficult to insert and install the bouquet, and the workability of wearing the bouquet is poor and it is not practical. Further, Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open No. 63-82791 discloses a method of pouring water into a water reservoir of a flower support container and supplying the water to the flower by a capillary action of a sponge. There is an unavoidable drawback of water leakage due to falls. Further, in Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open No. 1-6851, a cut flower freshness holding container holding a water stopcock of a water-expandable material is shown at the upper end opening of a water holding container body, but the number of cut flowers held is only one. It is limited and cannot be applied to bouquets. Further, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2-5812 discloses an example in which a water-resistant container and a water-immersive material are combined as a support storage container for cut flowers, but in this example, an opening is formed widely and a bouquet is formed. Since the opening cannot be closed after the insertion and mounting of the container, there is a drawback that transportation of the container and water leakage when the container falls are inevitable.

Therefore, in order to solve the above problems, the present invention does not easily leak water when a plant such as a cut flower is conveyed, and the packaging material for keeping the freshness of the plant does not leak, and even if it is used for a bouquet, it is attached. It is an object of the present invention to provide a plant freshness maintaining method and a plant freshness maintaining packaging material which can be easily carried out by the present invention.

The freshness-keeping packaging material 1 of the plant P of the present invention is formed of a flexible and waterproof material into a bag shape, and the peripheral wall 6 is subjected to a large number of pleating treatments. The expansion and contraction of the opening 3 can be freely made by expanding and contracting 7, and the water retaining bag 2 is provided on the inner surface 2a of the peripheral wall in the vicinity of the opening 3 and the strip 8 of the water-expandable resin is provided in the circumferential direction. It has a feature. The water retaining bag 2 may be formed of a material that is not attacked by a chemical that retains the freshness of the plant P. The band 8 of the water retaining bag 2 is formed by attaching a tape-shaped molded product to the inner surface 2a of the peripheral wall of the water retaining bag 2 or by applying it in a band shape on the inner surface 2a of the peripheral wall of the water retaining bag 2 with a paint-like material. You may form it.

After supplying water to the inside of the water retaining bag 2, the cut end of the plant P such as a cut flower or the root of the plant P is immersed in the water in the water retaining bag 2. Then, the diameter of the opening 3 of the water retaining bag 2 is reduced, the outer peripheral position of the strip 8 provided on the inner surface 2a of the peripheral wall is bound, and the packaging material 1 is attached to the plant P. This allows
Even if the plant P is tilted or tumbled, the water in the water retaining bag 2 is absorbed by the band 8 and the band 8 expands, so that the water inside does not leak from the opening 3 of the water retaining bag 2.

Therefore, in the freshness-keeping method using the freshness-keeping packaging material 1 for the plant P as described above, the shape of the water-retaining bag 2 of the freshness-holding packaging material 1 is such that the peripheral wall 6 is provided with the pleat 7, so that the pleat 7 can be easily formed. The expansion and contraction of the opening 3 of the water retention bag 2 can be easily performed by expanding and contracting. That is, the pleated peripheral wall 6 facilitates the work of reducing the diameter of the opening 3 of the water retention bag 2.
It is possible to easily hold the cut end or the root of the. Further, since the opening 3 can be easily expanded / contracted, even if the plant P to be inserted, for example, the root part of the bouquet has a large diameter, it can be easily inserted and mounted.

As a result, the plant P on which the packaging material 1 is attached
The water in the water retaining bag 2 does not leak from the opening 3 even when tilted, and reliable water stopping can be performed. That is, this packaging material 1
The plant P equipped with can be packed in a cardboard box or the like, which simplifies the work during transportation. Therefore, this packaging material 1
Since the plant P packaged by is in a water-retaining state, the freshness of the plant P does not immediately drop even when it is packed in a cardboard box, and the commercial value does not decrease.

INDUSTRIAL APPLICABILITY As described above, in the plant freshness keeping method and the plant freshness keeping packaging material according to the present invention, the shape of the water retaining bag of the packaging material is the bag shape in which the peripheral wall is pleated. The opening of the water retention bag can be expanded and contracted freely by expanding and contracting the pleats, and it is easy to insert plants from this opening, such as single cut flowers, multiple bouquets, plants with uneven roots, and stem thickness. It can be easily installed even with a bunch of cut flowers with different, and to hold this plant,
Since the opening of the water retaining bag can be easily reduced in diameter and bound by the pleats, workability is improved.

Since the water-swelling resin strip is provided on the inner wall surface of the water-retaining bag of the packaging material near the opening, the water-retaining bag of the packaging material is filled with water so that the plant After inserting the cut or root and reducing the diameter of the opening, when the outer circumference of the band is bound, this band absorbs the water in the water holding bag and the opening of the water holding bag after binding and the stem part of the plant Since it expands so as to fill the gap between the plant and the packaging material, even if the plant is overturned or overturned, the water in the water retaining bag does not leak from the opening. That is,
The plant equipped with this packaging does not leak water even if it falls, so it is easy to pack it in a corrugated cardboard box that is not waterproofed, and it is easy to carry it is there.
