The ceramic fiber forms a conical cap with a smooth tip, and this is called a fiber cone or tap cone, and a tap cone 3 is attached to the bullet-shaped tap 2 at the tip of the tap rod 1 shown in FIG.
Use by mating. The tap 2 covered with the tap cone 3 is connected to a tap stopper rod 6 supported by a connecting lever 5 which is transmitted to the air cylinder 4 shown in FIG.
Molten aluminum 9 is attached to the tip and surrounded by the hearth 7 and side walls 8 of a reverberatory furnace constructed of refractory material.
is used to stop the tap 11 of the tap hole brick 10 made of silicon nitride refractory. The above-mentioned stopper state with the tap was first opened in 1982.
This is also shown in Publication No. 83399.

(Problem that the invention aims to solve) However, tap cones break due to frequency of use and must be replaced, and the diameter of tap cones in general reverberatory furnaces is often small, around 30 mm in diameter. Since the tip was small and bullet-shaped with a rounded tip to prevent damage to the tap cone, the problem was that the tap cone would often fall off. If the tap cone falls off, the molten aluminum will fly out, causing burns, overflow, and other disasters.

In addition, when applying to a furnace with a large tapping diameter, the opening angle of the tip becomes large, and the contact friction between the tap and the inner wall of the tap cone decreases, making it easier for the tap to fall off.Additionally, when trying to reduce the opening angle, a tap cone with an elongated shape is required. Therefore, there were problems such as waste in the contact area with respect to the spout.

Furthermore, if a protrusion is to be provided on the inner wall of the tap cone to prevent it from falling off, the mold will be complicated and the cost will be high.

(Means for Solving the Problems) The present invention is characterized in that the tap at the tip of the tap stopper rod is formed into a truncated conical shape, and a plurality of annular knurling surfaces are formed on the outer circumferential surface of the tap. The gist is that the annular knurled surface on the outer circumferential surface protrudes toward the outer circumference.

(Function) When the tap cone is fitted onto the tap, it is frictionally engaged by the knurled surface formed on the tap, which prevents it from shaking and slipping off, and also prevents it from tilting and stopping. No more leaking from the spout when the tap is turned on.

Furthermore, an air layer is formed between the tip of the tap and the inner wall of the tap cone, and this air layer blocks heat, thereby reducing heat conduction to the tap rod.

In FIG. 1, the tap stopper rod 6 is the tap rod 1.
It is connected to the air cylinder 4 via a connecting lever 5 supporting the air cylinder 4. Also, the tap 2 that covers the tap cone 3 at the tip of the tap stopper rod 6 is the outlet 11 for the molten aluminum 9 surrounded by the hearth 7 and the side wall 8.
is fitted. The tap 2 is knurled in order to maintain its fitted state with the tap cone 3 even when the air cylinder 4 is actuated and the tap stopper rod 6 is operated via the connecting lever 5.

Figure 2 shows a knurled tap according to the present invention, in which a truncated conical tap 22 is provided at the tip of a tap rod 21, forming a fiber cone (tap cone).
The outer peripheral surface of the tap 22 in contact with the tap 23 is knurled by adding the elasticity of the ceramic fiber.
Two rows of 4 are formed. Further, an air layer 25 surrounded by a fiber cone 23 is formed at the tip of the tap 22.

In the tap stopper rod constructed as described above, the tap cone does not waver even with the tap diameter, does not cause leakage of molten metal, and prevents slipping, resulting in improved safety and reliability. In addition, the heat insulating effect of the air layer prevents the tap rod from heating, making it easier to handle it during work.

Figures 3 and 4 show other embodiments. In Figure 3, the tip of the tap is chamfered to expand the air layer 25, increasing the heat insulation effect and reducing damage to the fiber cone. . In FIG. 4, the knurled surface is widened and knurled intermittently in an annular shape.

(Effects of the invention) Since the present invention is constructed as described above, slip prevention is provided on the tap side without changing the shape of the tap cone, so the fitting condition of the tap cone is good even though it is easy to form. Disasters caused by molten metal scattering when the tap is shut off and equipment troubles caused by overflow are eliminated.

In addition, the gap (air layer) between the tip of the tap and the tap cone reduces heat conduction, so there is less thermal deformation of the tap rod, resulting in a longer life, and the work of attaching and removing the tap rod can be done without using heat-resistant gloves. This improves work and reduces costs.
