The conventional radiant hot air heater having the above-mentioned configuration has a problem in that it takes time for the room temperature to rise at the start of heating. This is because when heating is started, the heating is normally operated with strong combustion to speed up the start-up of heating, but with strong combustion, the temperature of the radiation surface 6 becomes high and the amount of heat of the hot air becomes relatively small.

According to this invention, a combustion tube with a combustion chamber inside and a radiant heat radiation surface on the front side is provided in a main body casing formed with a protective panel having a vent on the front side;
The radiant hot air heater is equipped with a blower that sucks indoor air through the vent and forms an airflow reaching the outlet, and the radiant hot air heater mixes combustion gas generated in the combustion cylinder with the airflow to produce warm air. The radiation surface faces the protection panel, and the radiation surface and the top plate of the combustion tube connected thereto form an air passage communicating with the vent between the protection panel and the top plate of the main body casing. An opening for exhausting combustion gas is provided in the upper part of the back plate of the combustion tube, facing the air passage.

The radiant hot air heater as an embodiment of the present invention shown in FIG. 1 has a combustion device with a combustion tube 2 and a burner 3 as its core inside a box-shaped main body casing 1, and indoor air is taken in and returned to the room. It incorporates a blower 4 for blowing air. The combustion tube 2 is a cylinder with both ends open, and a burner 3 is connected to one end. The other end of the combustion tube 2 is an exhaust port 11 provided on the rear upper surface of the combustion tube 2.
is open toward an indoor air intake port 5 formed on the upper rear surface of the main body casing 1. Combustion tube 2
The front surface of the main body casing 1 is configured as a radiation surface 6 that radiates radiant heat, and the radiation surface 6 can radiate radiant heat for heating to the front front of the main body casing 1 through a protective panel 7 provided on the front surface of the main body casing 1. . The protective panel 7 is provided with a vent 7a at a position facing the radiation surface 6, and the radiation surface 6, the combustion tube top plate 2a connected thereto, the protection panel 7 and the main body casing top plate 1a connected thereto. An air passage 12 is formed between the two, with one side facing the vent 7a and the other side facing the combustion gas exhaust opening 11. The blower 4 is built into the lower part of the main casing 1, and its discharge port faces an air outlet 8 provided at the lower front of the main casing 1. There are two ventilation paths within the main body casing 1 regarding the blower 4. One is from the indoor air intake port 5 on the upper rear side of the main body casing 1, passes behind the combustion tube 2, and connects to the blower 4.
The other one extends from the combustion tube 2 along the radiation surface 6 of the combustion tube 2 and the combustion tube top plate 2a through the ventilation hole 7a provided in the protection panel 7a on the front side of the main casing 1. It goes around the above-mentioned route and joins in front of the blower 4. The former is the same as what conventional heaters of this type have,
The latter does not exist in conventional heaters. The indoor air intake port 5, which is the inlet end of the former, is provided with an adjustment plate 9 that can adjust the opening area, and the indoor air intake port 5 can take a form from fully closed to fully open by the adjustment plate 9.

Therefore, the radiant hot air heater of this example has a radiation surface 6
When the indoor air intake port 5 is fully closed, for example, the indoor air taken in through the protective panel 7 receives heat on the radiation surface 6, and then the combustion tube 2 The heat is received on the other surface and is blown out from the outlet 8 as high-temperature warm air. When the indoor air intake port 5 is open, the air flow flowing through the radiation surface 6 and the radiation surface 6
The air flow that does not flow through the air is mixed with the air flow and is blown out from the air outlet 8.

By increasing the amount of air passing through the radiating surface 6, the amount of heat from the hot air can be increased by reducing the amount of radiant heat, thereby suppressing the radiant heat on the radiating surface during strong combustion operation at the start of heating. By increasing the amount of heat in the hot air, heating can be started more quickly.

As is clear from the above description of the embodiments, the radiant hot air heater of the present invention has a main body casing formed with a protective panel with a vent on the front, a combustion chamber inside, and a front surface for discharging radiant heat. It is equipped with a combustion tube with a flat surface and a blower that sucks indoor air through a vent and forms an air flow that reaches an outlet. The hot air heater has a radiation surface facing the protective panel, and the radiation surface and the combustion tube top plate connected thereto form an air passage communicating with the vent between the protective panel and the top plate of the main body casing. In addition, an opening for exhausting combustion gas was provided at the top of the back plate of the combustion tube, facing the air passage, so that the indoor air received heat from the radiation surface and the top plate of the combustion tube, and then mixed with the combustion gas, discharging the radiant heat. Can be collected efficiently.
Therefore, heat from the combustion tube can be recovered without waste, and heating can be started more quickly.

Further, even if the radiation surface faces the protection panel, since air flow is generated between them, the protection panel is cooled, and there is an advantage that there is no risk of getting burned by the protection panel during heating operation.
