(d) Means for solving the problem In order to achieve this objective, the present invention has developed a system that increases the opening area of the air outlet adjacent to the air inlet of a ceiling-mounted air conditioner during cooling operation. Also, a control member is provided to reduce the size during heating operation.

(E) Effect The opening area of the air outlet is made smaller during heating operation than during cooling operation, increasing the speed of the air discharged from the air outlet during heating operation, making it easier for warm air to reach the indoor floor, and reducing the specific gravity. This prevents the occurrence of air shoots in which light warm air is sucked into the suction port adjacent to the air outlet.

(F) Embodiment In Fig. 1, 1 is an air conditioner embedded in the ceiling, and has an outer panel 2 bent into a substantially U-shape so that the opening is positioned downward, and a bent portion 3 of this outer panel. Two heat exchangers 4 located close to each other and two cross flow fans 5 disposed between both heat exchangers 4 are built in. Both heat exchangers 4 function as an evaporator during cooling operation and as a condenser during heating operation.

6 is a drain pan disposed below both heat exchangers 4; 7 is a decorative panel that closes the opening of the outer panel 2; a discharge port 8 is located in the center; Suction ports 9 are formed on both sides of the outlet 8, respectively. The suction ports 9 each face the heat exchanger 4 , and the blowout ports 8 are connected to the air passage 10 of the cross flow fan 5 . This air outlet 10 has a control member (hereinafter referred to as a "damper device") which will be described later in the center.
That's what it means. ) is provided, and is separated into a left blowing section 12 and a right blowing section 13 around this operating rod 11. In addition, each blowing part 1
2 and 13 are partitioned into a center opening 15 and a side opening 16 by a stopper piece 14. Reference numeral 17 denotes a damper device disposed in the air passage 10, which consists of a pair of wind guide plates 18 installed in the vertical direction of the air conditioner 1, and a damper device 17 installed in the horizontal direction of the air conditioner 1. It is composed of a pair of arms 19 and an operating rod 11 that protrudes below the air conditioner 1. The pair of wind guide plates 18 swing in the left-right direction about the support shaft 20 as indicated by broken line arrows in FIG. Further, each arm 19 has one end connected to the wind guide plate 1.
The other ends of this arm 19 are connected to each other, and the operating rod 11 is attached to this connecting portion.

That is, when the operating rod 11 is pulled out downward as shown in FIG. 2, the arm 19 becomes horizontal, the lower end of the wind guide plate 18 hits the stopper piece 14, and the wind guide plate 18 opens in a V-shape. , the central opening 15 of the air outlet 8 is closed, and when the operating rod 11 is pushed upward as shown in FIG. The central opening 15 of the air outlet 8 is opened.

In an air conditioner with such a configuration,
During cooling operation, the operation rod 11 is pushed upward to open the openings 15 and 16 of the left and right blow-off sections 12 and 13, respectively, so that the heat exchanger 4 acts as an evaporator. As the crossflow fan 5 rotates, indoor air is sucked in through the suction port 9 of the decorative panel 7, cooled by the heat exchanger 4, and discharged from the entire outlet (see solid line arrows in FIG. 1). By discharging the cold air from the entire outlet 8 in this manner, the cold air is distributed throughout the room.

On the other hand, during heating operation, the operating rod 11 is pushed down to close the central openings 15 of both the left and right blow-off sections 12, 13, and the heat exchanger 4 is operated as a condenser. As the cross flow fan 5 rotates, indoor air is sucked in through the suction port 9 of the decorative panel 7, heated by the heat exchanger 4, flows along the wind guide plate 18, and is discharged from the side opening 16 of the outlet. (See solid line arrow in Figure 2). In this way, during heating operation, a part of the air outlet 8 (center side air outlet 15) is closed and temperature is discharged only from the side opening 16, so that the speed of the air discharged from this air outlet 8 is reduced. This is faster than during cooling operation, making it easier for the warm air to reach the floor of the room, and making it difficult for the warm air to be sucked into the air outlet 8 and the suction port 9 adjacent to it (air shot).

(g) Effects of the invention As stated above, the present invention is designed to make the opening area of the air outlet adjacent to the inlet of a ceiling-mounted air conditioner smaller during heating operation than during cooling operation. As a result, the speed of air discharged from the air outlet during heating operation increases. Moreover, air shoots, in which warm air (warm air) with a light specific gravity discharged from the blow-off port returns to the suction port adjacent to the blow-off port, are less likely to occur. Therefore, the warm air can more easily reach the indoor floor, and the indoor living space can be heated efficiently.
