Abstract

PURPOSE:To appropriately update screen information without a pesseris assistance in an online system where screen information held in a host device is held and processed in a terminal equipment. CONSTITUTION:When a terminal equipment 2 starts connection with the host device, the revision number of screen information for respective screens, which a screen management information storage part 23 holds, is transmitted to the host device 1. The comparison processing part 12 of the host device 1 compares it with the revision number of screen information on the host device for respective screens, which a screen management information storage part 13 holds, reads screen information on the dissident revision number from a screen information storage part 15 and transmits it to the terminal equipment 2. The screen information write processing part 22 of the terminal equipment 2 updates screen information and rewrites the revision number.

Claim: What is claimed is: 1. A screen information updating method for an online system, wherein screen information held in a host device is held and processed in a terminal device. When the terminal device starts connection with the host device, the terminal device updates the screen information. And a first transmission means for transmitting the revision number of the screen information held by the host device to the host device.
Comparing means provided in a host device for receiving the revision number from the transmitting means and comparing it with the revision number of the corresponding screen information, and the terminal which has transmitted the revision number for the screen information having different revision numbers by this comparing means. A screen information updating method comprising: a second sending unit for sending to the device; and an updating unit for receiving screen information from the second sending unit and updating the held screen information.
