The surface 2 is coated with Teflon 4 so that the recesses 5 of the surface 2 are filled with Teflon 4.

Since the base material comes into contact with the Teflon 4, the base material is easily peeled off from the Teflon 4, and the ink printed on the base material is difficult to adhere to the Teflon 4.

Therefore, the durability of Teflon 4 is improved, and the base material includes not only the convex part 6 of ceramic 3 but also the surface of Teflon 4 that is on the same surface as the convex part 6 (the surface of Teflon 4 in the concave part 5).
Since the base material A is also in contact with each other, the base material A is less likely to be torn.

Moreover, this Teflon 4 is coated on the metal roller 1 so that it has a uniform thickness from the center. In this case, the surface of the Teflon 4 dug into the recess 5 may be coated so that it is flush with the surface of the protrusion 6 of the ceramic 3, or the surface may be coated with Teflon 4 thickly and then polished with a diamond grindstone or the like. Then, as shown in FIG. 2, the surface of the Teflon 4 biting into the recess 5 and the surface of the protrusion 6 of the ceramic 3 may be made to be on the same plane.

Therefore, it is not necessary to clean the same surface as frequently as in the past, and therefore the printing press is less likely to be stopped, improving printing productivity.
