Abstract

PURPOSE:To accurately confirm positions in length and breadth on the surface of the glass plate of an original platen, to improve original placing accuracy and to improve an original editing function on the original platen. CONSTITUTION:Squares 61 whose interval is 1cm are printed in red ink having light transmitting ability on all the surface of the glass plate 60 of the original platen 3. Thus, an operator can confirm the positions in length and breadth at an optional position on the glass plate 60, so that the original is accurately placed on the glass plate 60 so as to prevent the original from being erroneously placed. Plural originals are directly edited on the glass plate 60, thereby improving the editing function.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, in a copying machine or the like, a document table has a single transparent glass plate provided on the upper surface of the main body of the apparatus.
When placing a document on this glass plate, the scale for displaying the paper size, which is written on the document stopper or scale around the glass plate, is read to confirm the document placement position.

Therefore, when an original is placed at a position adjacent to the scale on one end of the glass plate as a reference, the exact placement position can be confirmed, but the original is placed inside the glass plate. In the case of placing it, it is impossible to confirm the exact position, and there is a problem that the image quality is deteriorated due to the document misalignment. Further, in the case of a manuscript that requires editing, such as combining a plurality of small-sized manuscripts to create one manuscript, it is difficult to place a plurality of manuscripts directly on the glass plate, and In order to place the originals in the proper positions, it is necessary to glue multiple originals onto one backing sheet.
Conventionally, there is a problem that operability is reduced because a work for preparing a document by a gluing work is required before copying.

Therefore, the present invention eliminates the above-mentioned problem. Even if it is near the center of the glass plate, the original placement position can be accurately grasped by checking the vertical and horizontal coordinates at any position of the glass plate. Even when placing a document at an arbitrary position inside, it is possible to obtain a good image without document deviation, and it is also possible to edit multiple documents on the same image directly on the glass plate. It is an object of the present invention to provide a document table and an image forming apparatus which have improved editing functions and have good image quality and operability.

The present invention is configured as described above, and the position display means for clearly indicating the vertical and horizontal positions at arbitrary positions is provided on the surface of the document placing means, so that the document is placed inside the document placing means. Even in such a case, the operator can easily confirm the accurate document placement position, and a good image can be obtained without the image being displaced or tilted. Further, even when a plurality of originals are edited on the same screen, the originals can be directly edited on the original placing means without gluing them on a mount or the like, and a part of the originals can be replaced very easily. Operability and editing functions are significantly improved.

Next, the operation will be described. When copying with a standard size document D, when the apparatus main body 1 is in a ready state after turning on a power source (not shown), the operator adjusts the scale according to the scales on the document stopper 63 and the scale 64. After placing the original D on the glass plate 60 and setting copy conditions such as the number of copies, paper size, and copy magnification on the operation panel (not shown), press the copy button (not shown). Turn on. As a result, copying is started, and the steps of charging, exposing, and developing are sequentially performed as the photoconductor 20 rotates, and a toner image is formed on the photoconductor 20.

Then, in synchronism with this, the paper P is fed from the paper feed cassette device 10 or the paper feed tray 11 and is aligned with the toner image on the photoconductor 20 via the registration roller pair 32 at the timing. It is sent to the transfer charger 25. After the transfer is completed, the paper P separated from the photoconductor 20 is conveyed by the conveyor belt 36 and is fixed by the fixing roller 3.
3, the image is fixed, and the sheet is discharged toward the sheet discharge tray 9. After the transfer, the photoconductor 20 has a cleaning device 27,
The next copy is made possible via the static eliminator 28. On the other hand, the original is not of a standard size, or the original is not moved with the original stopper 63 or the scale 64 around the glass plate 60 as a reference in order to move the image forming position. When D is placed, the operator places the original in accordance with the squares 61 on the glass plate 60.

Next, the first to third small originals d1 to d3
When copying the same on the same image C1, the operator places the first to third originals d1 to d3 directly on the glass plate 60 at the required positions according to the squares 61. .. Then, as in the case of the standard document D described above, the image forming conditions are input, and then the copy button (not shown) is turned on to copy. This is the copy you need
After obtaining, for example, when it is necessary to copy the first manuscript d1 by another manuscript in which another fourth manuscript d4 is replaced,
A new original is placed on the glass plate 60 by simply replacing the first original d1 with the fourth original d4 on the glass plate 60 while leaving the second and third originals d2 and d3 on the glass plate 60. Can be created. Therefore, after that, by simply inputting necessary image forming conditions and turning on the copy button, a copy image based on a new document can be immediately obtained.

According to this structure, for example, even in the case of a fixed-size original, the layout of images is taken into consideration, and even when the original is placed inside the glass plate 60, the squares 61 on the surface of the glass plate 60.
Since it can be placed according to, it can place the original at an accurate position and does not cause image misalignment such as image skewing compared to the conventional case where it was placed with proper registration. Copying errors due to placement errors can be prevented, and the reliability of the device is improved. Further, when copying a plurality of small originals d1 to d3 on the same image, it is not necessary to glue the originals d1 to d3 on the mount, and the glass plate 60 is aligned with the squares 61 printed on the glass plate 60. Manuscript d directly on 60
A manuscript can be easily edited by placing 1 to d3.
Therefore, the gluing operation for editing becomes unnecessary, and the partial replacement of the document becomes extremely easy, the operability at the time of editing and creating the document is reduced, and the editing function is improved.

The present invention is not limited to the above-mentioned embodiment, and may be modified within the scope of the invention, for example, the position display means may be made of liquid crystal, and light transmission at the time of image formation. On the other hand, when the document is placed, a current may be passed through the position display means to clearly indicate the vertical and horizontal coordinates. The color of the light-transmissive ink that constitutes the position display means is also arbitrary, but it must be a non-copier color of the image carrier material, for example, selenium [Se] as the image carrier material. ], A blue translucent ink may be used. It should be noted that the intervals between the cells of the position display means are also arbitrary.

As described above, according to the present invention, the position display means formed on the surface of the document placing means allows the operator to operate on the document placing means even inside the document placing means. Since the vertical and horizontal coordinates can be accurately recognized, even when the document is placed at an arbitrary position inside the document placing means, the document can be easily placed at the correct position. Therefore, when the document is placed inside the document placing means, there is no deviation of the document,
Copying errors caused by document misalignment can be prevented, and the reliability of the device can be improved. Further, even when a plurality of originals are edited to create one original, the plurality of originals can be edited while being placed directly on the original placing means without gluing the plurality of originals on the mount, and further, a partial original Replacement is also extremely easy, and the editing function is improved.
