2. Description of the Related Art An electronic thermometer includes, for example, a temperature measuring body for converting body temperature information into an electric signal, a measuring section for converting an electric signal of the temperature measuring body into a digital signal, and an arithmetic section for obtaining a body temperature from the digital signal. The display unit displays the body temperature calculated by the calculation unit, a battery that supplies electric power to each unit, and a housing that houses the unit. This type of electronic clinical thermometer is capable of being considerably miniaturized in terms of circuit technology in accordance with miniaturization of LSIs and other electronic circuit elements. When using such an electronic thermometer in a hospital,
From the viewpoint of preventing infections between patients mediated by the electronic thermometer, infection prevention processing such as disinfection and cleaning of the outer surface of the thermometer is indispensable, and therefore the electronic thermometer is required to be waterproof. However, this type of electronic thermometer needs to be provided with a body temperature display window part that allows the body temperature display part to be seen from the outside in correspondence with the body temperature display part built in the housing. This is an obstacle to the production of an electronic thermometer with good performance. In order to solve such a problem, the applicant of the present application has proposed an electronic clinical thermometer in which a window member and a housing are separately formed by multicolor molding (Japanese Patent Publication No.
44648).

This electronic clinical thermometer is completely waterproof and has a sufficient effect. However, after molding the window member, this electronic thermometer is used as a two-color molding die. Assembled, the resin forming the housing is flowed in by injection molding, and the heat fuses with the window member to form the main body. Therefore, when the window member is incorporated into the mold, the window member is not scratched. There is also a problem that the housing forming resin flows out to the transparent window portion and a defective product is taken out. In addition, since it has a double structure, there is a problem that the inside of the housing becomes narrower accordingly. Further, in the case where the housing and the window member are simply welded at their joints, there is a problem that the welded portion is visible through the transparent window portion, which impairs the commercial value. Therefore, the object of the present invention is to

A solution to the above-mentioned problems is to provide an electronic clinical thermometer in which an electronic circuit element and a battery are housed in a rod-shaped housing having at one end a small diameter extending portion having a temperature-sensing portion. The housing includes a window member mounting portion and a window member having a peripheral edge welded to the window member mounting portion, the window member including a transparent portion and a peripheral portion provided on the peripheral portion of the transparent portion. The electronic thermometer is characterized in that the peripheral portion has a welded portion covering portion that makes it difficult to visually see the welded portion between the window member attachment portion and the window member from the outside. It is preferable that the transparent portion is formed of a transparent resin, the peripheral portion is formed of an opaque resin, and both are welded. Further, the transparent portion may have a concave portion or a convex portion in a welded portion with the peripheral portion, and the peripheral portion may have a convex portion or a concave portion corresponding to the concave portion or the convex portion of the transparent portion. preferable.
Further, the transparent portion and the peripheral portion of the window member are integrally formed of a transparent resin, and the surface of the peripheral portion is a matte surface, and the matte surface portion constitutes the welded portion covering portion. It is preferable that the Further, it is preferable that the window member attaching portion has an inclined portion, and the window member has an inclined portion corresponding to the inclined portion of the window member attaching portion.

The window member attachment portion 21 and the window member 22 are preferably welded by welding using frictional heat generated by ultrasonic vibration, high frequency welding, or the like. In particular, ultrasonic waves are preferably used because the entire circumference can be reliably welded in a short time (1 to 2 seconds). Then, in order to make the welding of both sufficiently and easily, as shown in FIG.
The window member mounting portion 21 preferably has an inclined portion 33, and the window member 22 further includes the window member mounting portion 21.
It is preferable to have an inclined portion 34 corresponding to the inclined portion 33 of. Since the window member attachment portion 21 and the window member 22 have the inclined portions 33 and 34, the energy due to ultrasonic vibration can be concentrated on the inclined portions 33 and 34 particularly in ultrasonic welding. Sufficient welding with liquid tightness is possible.

Next, the electronic thermometer 1 of the present invention shown in FIG.
The mounting structure of the window member mounting portion 21 and the window member 22 of the housing 2 will be described. The embodiment shown in FIG.
2a and the peripheral edge portion 22b are integrally molded with a methylpentene resin which is a transparent resin, and the peripheral edge portion 22b has a matte surface as shown in FIG. According to this embodiment, since the transparent portion 22a and the peripheral edge portion 22b are integrally molded, the step of welding them together can be omitted and the manufacturing becomes easy. The matte surface is formed by etching the inner surface of the molding die of the window member 22 (the portion that forms the surface of the peripheral edge portion 22b) in a matte pattern, and by performing a blasting process such as diamond cutting. .. Then, as in Example 1, the window member 22 was welded to the window member attachment portion 21 of the housing 2 by ultrasonic vibration, and the electronic thermometer of the present invention was produced. In the present embodiment, the peripheral edge portion 22b has a satin surface, which makes it difficult to visually check the welded portion between the window member attachment portion 21 and the window member 22 from the outside, and has the effect of making the contact mark during the ultrasonic welding operation inconspicuous. It is configured to be a welded portion coating portion to have.
