[Industrial Field of Application] The present invention relates to a base material-less double-sided adhesive tape that has a difference in adhesive strength between the front and back sides of the adhesive tape and is easy to perform secondary processing. [Prior Art] A base material-less double-sided adhesive tape is an adhesive tape without a support. Conventional base material-less double-sided tapes are so-called adhesive tapes in which an adhesive layer is simply provided on the surface of a release film, and the adhesive strength of the front and back sides of the adhesive layer is not strong or weak. However, when such a tape is wound into a roll with a release paper interposed in between, there is a problem that the adhesive migrates to the back side of the release film, and to solve this problem, it is necessary to control peeling on the front and back sides of the release film. be. Furthermore, when performing secondary processing, such as punching, on a single base material-less double-sided tape, there is a problem that the strength of the adhesive film and the adhesive tearability are poor. [Problems to be Solved by the Invention] An object of the present invention is to provide a base material-less double-sided adhesive tape in which adhesive strength on both surfaces of the adhesive tape is differentiated. Another object of the present invention is to provide a base material-less double-sided adhesive tape that has excellent adhesive film strength, adhesive cutting properties, etc., and is easy to perform secondary processing. [Means for Solving the Problems] The present invention is characterized in that the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer contains foamed particles, and the foamed particles are mixed more densely near one surface than the other surface. This invention relates to a base material-less double-sided adhesive tape. The adhesive used in the base material-less double-sided adhesive tape of the present invention may be any one conventionally known in this field, such as acrylic polymers, rubber mixtures, and the like. The base material-less double-sided adhesive tape of the present invention is usually provided with a release film on one side. At that time, a release film is usually provided on the surface on the side where fewer foamed particles are intended. As the release film, any material conventionally known in this field may be used, such as paper, plastic film subjected to release treatment, Grameen paper, and the like. Moreover, peeling control may be performed on the front and back surfaces of the peeling film by means known per se. The base material-less double-sided adhesive tape of the present invention is manufactured, for example, as follows. That is, a solvent type or emulsion type adhesive is used as the adhesive (in this case, the solvent or dispersion medium may be, for example, toluene, ethyl acetate,
It is manufactured by mixing adhesive solids and expandable particles with water (water, etc.), applying the mixture to a release layer film in a liquid or paste form, and heating to remove the solvent. In the base-less adhesive double-sided tape thus obtained, when the expandable particles have a relatively low specific gravity, the expandable particles float to the surface and more expandable particles gather on the upper part of the adhesive layer. Therefore, when this is foamed by heating or the like, it becomes a highly foamed state in which the foamed particles are more densely present in the upper part of the layer, that is, it becomes highly embossed, and the adhesive strength decreases. On the other hand, if the expandable particles have a higher specific gravity than the adhesive, the expandable particles will settle and gather in larger quantities at the bottom of the layer, resulting in a highly foamed state at the bottom of the layer and lower adhesive strength. However, the specific gravity of expandable particles decreases due to foaming, so even if the expandable particles have a relatively higher specific gravity than the solvent or dispersion medium, the expanded particles may be smaller than the solvent or dispersion medium. As long as the specific gravity is high, the expanded particles will gather at the top of the layer. As the expandable particles, a polymer containing a blowing agent is usually used, and the preferred particle size is 5 to 50μ.
It is m. Moreover, those with a foaming ratio of 2 to 10 times are preferable, and those that foam at a temperature of about 100 to 150°C are more preferable. Examples of the expandable particles include polyacrylic particles and polyurethane particles containing a blowing agent. As the blowing agent, conventionally known ones are used,
Examples include diazoaminobenzene, N,N'-dinitrosopentamethylenetetramine, benzenesulfonylhydrazide, p-toluenesulfonylhydrazide, and azobisisobutyronitrile. The amount of expandable particles blended is usually 80 parts by weight or less, preferably within the range of 5 to 50 parts by weight, per 100 parts by weight of the adhesive. By the way, the adhesive strength on both sides of the base material-less double-sided adhesive tape is controlled by adjusting the amount of expandable particles added. As the amount of expandable particles increases, the overall adhesive strength decreases. decreases, and the foamed particles are usually more concentrated near one side, so the difference in adhesive strength becomes larger. Therefore, the amount of expandable particles may be adjusted depending on the desired adhesive strength and adhesive strength difference. Foaming is performed, for example, by heating (about 100 to 150°C). One embodiment of the base material-less double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape of the present invention is as shown in the cross-sectional view shown in FIG. 1, and the surface where foamed particles are thoroughly mixed becomes more highly embossed. [Function/Effect] Since the base material-less double-sided adhesive tape of the present invention has foamed particles mixed in the vicinity of one surface more densely than in the vicinity of the other surface, the side surface where the foamed particles are densely mixed is Since the surface has a more highly embossed shape, it has weaker adhesion than the other surface (which has a moderately embossed shape due to the coarse mixture of foamed particles). Therefore, even if a release film is provided thereon and the film is rolled, it has the characteristic that the adhesive material will not migrate to the back side of the release film. Furthermore, since it is foamed, it has a cushioning effect and can be used for packing purposes, opening up a wider range of uses in addition to the use of conventional base material-less double-sided adhesive tapes. In addition, when the base material-less double-sided adhesive tape of the present invention is in an unfoamed state, there is no difference in the adhesive strength between its two sides as with conventional base material-less double-sided adhesive tapes, and its thickness is also comparable to that of conventional base material-less double-sided adhesive tapes. It is similar to Furthermore, the base material-less double-sided adhesive tape of the present invention is
Since expanded particles are mixed, it has excellent strength, adhesive film strength, adhesive cutting, etc., and secondary processing is easy. [Examples] Hereinafter, the present invention will be explained in more detail with reference to Examples, but the present invention is not limited thereto. In the examples, parts indicate parts by weight. Example 1 100 parts solid content of adhesive mainly composed of acrylic polymer, expandable particles [acrylic: w-480 (10
~15μm diameter), blowing agent: diazoaminobenzene]
Dissolve an adhesive consisting of 5 to 80 parts in toluene to form a solution and apply it to a thickness on paper release paper.
After coating at a thickness of 30 μm and heating at 130° C. for 2 minutes, changes in adhesive strength and thickness were examined. The results are as follows.
