Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide an elevator cooling drainage system capable of starting a drainage pump to drain easily inside a cage even during the operation of an elevator by providing a drain tank having the drain level sensor of a cooling unit, under the cage, and providing the drain tank with the drainage pump and a drain pipe connected to a faucet in the cage. CONSTITUTION:When a cooling unit 2 provided at the upper part of a cage is operated, drain water coming out of a heat exchanger is accumulated in a drain tank 6 and becomes full with the time. Then an upper float switch 7 closes a circuit, and the lamp 21 of a monitoring panel fitted outside is lighted. At the same time, a buzzer 22 rumbles to inform a controller of the full state of the drain tank 6. Upon the indication of the full state, a motor-driven pump start switch 20 provided at the control panel in the cage is closed to charge an electromagnetic switch so that a drainage pump 18 is rotated to pump up water in the drain tank 6. In the cage, the lid of a box 16 provided at a side board is opened, and a rubber hose is connected to a faucet 17 to drain the tank while receiving water with a bucket.

Further, a drainage basin, a drainage port, and a drainage pump for draining the water discharged from the cooling device from the pit were provided. In addition, when the drainage port and drainage pump were not provided, the maintenance personnel of the elevator regularly drained water from a drainage pit in the pit using a bucket or the like.

Drain generated during heat exchange is collected by a drain pipe 5 in a tank 6 provided under the car. When the water collected in the tank 6 becomes full, the level gauge (or float switch) 7 provided inside detects it, and the elevator car 4 runs to the bottom floor for drainage and stops, and for drainage at the bottom of the tank 6. The electromagnetic valve 8 is opened and the water is drained from the drain pipe 9 into the pit 10.

[0007] When there is no statutory allowance in the top clearance 1, a separate type cooling device is used, and a blower inside the car is attached to the top of the car and a heat exchanger is installed below the car, and the drainage is performed. The tank and the like are the same as in the above case.

The piping for draining outside the pit was not possible,
If there is no drain tank nearby, people who entered the pit from the elevator entrance on the bottom floor drained the water collected in the drain basin regularly. This work is dangerous because of safety issues unless the maintenance staff of the elevator is present.
