Abstract

PURPOSE:To accurately and continuously measure the variation 'combining force' conforming to a process using a hair treating agent by continuously measuring the variation of a load applied to a hair bundle or a contact during the combining-operation of the hair bundle in hair treatment. CONSTITUTION:A hair bundle 1 is fixed to a suspended tool 2 to be hung from a measuring device 7a. A quantitative pump 3a is actuated based on a command from a computer 7b to spray a hair treating agent on the hair bundle 1 from a spray nozzle 3c. The elapse of a spraying time causes the stop of the quantitative pump 3a, the actuation of a quantitative pump 4a, and the spraying of washing water to the hair bundle 1 from a spray nozzle 4c to wash off the hair treating agent. The quantitative pump 4a is stopped, and the drying hot air fan 5a of a drying means 5 is actuated to dry the hair bundle 1. A contact 6 is passed through the hair bundle 1 during hair treatment, and operation, for moving the contact 6 from the upper part to the lower part of the hair bundle 1, is repeated to measure a load applied to the hair bundle 1 with a detector 7a. A measured result is displayed via the computer 7b.

When hair is combed with a brush or a comb, the resistance force against combing, ′° < combing force ゛°, differs depending on the condition of the hair surface. Measuring this "passing force" is important in accurately understanding the effects and effects of hair treatment agents such as shampoos and conditioners on hair.

Conventionally, as a method to measure the "combing force" of hair,
For example, a method is known in which a hair bundle is suspended from a load detector, and when a brush is passed through the hair bundle in this state, the load applied to the load detector is measured (J, Soc,
Cosmet, Chem, 27.379-398 (

However, the above-mentioned method only measures the "combing force" before and after treatment with a hair treatment agent such as a conditioner, sprays the hair treatment agent, rinses the hair, and then dries the hair. It was not designed to measure the change in the "passing force" during the hair treatment process, that is, the change in the "passing force" during the process of actually using the hair treatment agent.

For this reason, even if a hair treatment agent is evaluated on hair based on the ``combing force'' measured by the method described above, it may not match the sensory relative evaluation by an expert panel. In reality, the evaluation of processing agents has had to rely on methods based on sensory evaluation by specialized panels and the like.

[Operation] According to the hair combing force measuring method of the present invention using the hair combing force measuring device of the present invention, a hair treatment agent is sprayed on a hair bundle, the hair bundle is rinsed, and then the hair bundle is At the same time as performing a hair treatment to dry the hair, an operation of moving either the hair bundle or the contact while passing a contact such as a brush or a comb through the hair bundle during the hair treatment is performed multiple times. Since the combing operation is repeated and the change in the load applied to the hair bundle or the contact is continuously measured during the combing operation, the combing operation is performed in accordance with the process of actually using the hair treatment agent. Changes in combing force can be seen, and the effects and effects of hair treatment agents on hair can be determined with high precision.

During such hair treatment, the contact 6 is passed through the hair bundle 1,
When the combing operation of moving the hair bundle 1 from the top to the bottom is repeated several times manually, the load applied to the hair bundle 1 is continuously measured by the measuring device 7a. Then, this measurement signal is sequentially transmitted to the computer 7b.
, the computer 7b sequentially processes the manually input signals and outputs only the maximum value measured during each combing operation to the recorder 70 and display 7d. As a result, the recorder 70 continuously records the change in the ``comb passing force'', while the display 7d similarly continuously displays the change in ``the comb passing force''.

As mentioned above, if we continuously measure the changes in °°<passing force' during hair treatment, we can see that the process in which the hair treatment agent spreads and sinks into the hair bundle 1, the process in which the hair bundle 1 is rinsed, and The change in combing force during the process of drying the hair bundle 1, that is, the change in combing force during the process of actually using the hair treatment agent, can be seen. It is possible to accurately know the influence and effect on the skin, and it is consistent with the sensory relative evaluation conducted by expert panels.

In Fig. 5, the symbol C indicates the measurement result of the "combing force" when using Treatment C (damage required), and the symbol C indicates the "combing force" when using Treatment D (hard requirement). ”, and the symbol E indicates the measurement result “′” when using Treatment E (L type).
F indicates the measurement result of "'<passing force" when treatment F (hard material) is used.

As is clear from the graph above, just before rinsing, Treatment C (damage required) has the highest combing power, followed by Treatment D (hard treatment required), Treatment E (Light type), Treatment F ( The ``combing force'' of Treatment D (hard comb) was almost the same, but in the rinsing process, the combing force of Treatment D (hard comb)
<The passing force °゛ was the largest, followed by Treatment C.
(Damage required), Treatment E (L type), Treatment F (Hard type required).

From this, it can be seen that Treatment F (hard type) has the best combability, followed by Treatment 1-E (moist type), Treatment C (damage type), and 1Heritment D (hard type). (Required) was rated as having the worst combability. This evaluation agreed with the sensory relative evaluation by an expert panel.

According to the method for measuring hair combing force of the present invention, it is possible to accurately and continuously measure changes in the combing force during the process of actually using a hair treatment agent, and the measurement results can be submitted to a professional panel. It agrees with the sensory relative evaluation by E. et al. Especially, if the hair combing force measuring device of the present invention is used, it can be easily measured with good reproducibility.
