In an inverter device for a halogen lamp, which includes a pair of transistors 1.2 and an output transformer 3, and has a protection circuit that detects lamp failure or an abnormal state and stops oscillation of the transistor 1.2 to stop and maintain lighting operation. In this embodiment, a reset switch 4.5 is provided in the protection circuit. By doing this, the protection circuit is reset when the power is on, and the halogen lamp 11 can be turned on without having to turn on the power again after the protection operation by the protection circuit. Thus, it is possible to obtain an inverter device for a halogen lamp that makes it possible to easily maintain the halogen lamp 11 when a plurality of lamps are used.

When the charging voltage rises to the switching voltage of 5BS9 connected to capacitor 8, 5B
S9 suddenly turns on, and the charge stored in capacitor 8 is applied to the base of transistor 1, turning transistor 1 on.

Thereafter, when the transistor 1 is turned off, the voltage across the negative winding 3a is reversed due to the inductance of the primary winding 3a, and the transistor 2 is turned on by the base winding 3b of the ratio quadrature 3. The above-described operations are repeated to turn on the halogen lamp 11.
