偏光分離素子と、 前記基板上に形成され前記第１及び第２の偏光
を合成する合波素子と、 前記偏光分離素子と前記合波素子との間に第１
の導波路を介して接続され前記偏光分離素子で分
離された第１の偏光を前記第２の偏光に交換する
第１の偏光交換手断と、 前記第１の偏光交換手段と前記合波素子との間
に前記第１の導波路を介して接続され前記第１の
偏光交換手段の出力を制御する第１の光スイツチ
と、 前記偏光分離素子と前記合波素子との間に第２
の導波路を介して接続され前記偏光分離素子で分
離された第２の偏光を制御する第２の光スイツチ
と、 前記第２の光スイツチと前記合波素子との間に
