Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a composite deoxygenating agent wherein manufacturing efficiency can be enhanced and manufacturing cost is reduced by integrating a yarn-like oxygen detecting agent with the air permeable packing material of a deoxygenating agent. CONSTITUTION:A liquid mixture of respective aqueous solutions of a reductive saccharide, an alkali metal compound and a dye such as methylene blue reduced by the reducing saccharide is supported on a yarn-like carrier such as cotton yarn and the impregnated carrier is dried up to proper moisture content. The yarn-like oxygen detecting agent thus obtained is integrated with the air permeable packing material of a deoxygenating agent by stitching to obtain a composite deoxygenating agent. By this method, manufacturing speed is increased and economical efficiency can be enhanced.

<Prior Art> In recent years, oxygen scavengers have been used to selectively remove oxygen from the packaging atmosphere in order to package and preserve substances such as foods in an oxygen-free environment for long periods of time. In order to control whether the food is actually being stored in an oxygen-free state, an oxygen detector is used in conjunction with an oxygen scavenger. Such an oxygen detection agent causes a color change so that the presence or absence of oxygen can be determined at a glance with the naked eye.

These oxygen absorbers and oxygen detectors can be packed together with the material to be stored, but in order to improve workability during packaging, a composite oxygen absorber with a sheet-shaped oxygen detector attached to the oxygen absorber should be packed first. (Patent Application No. 63-320395) (Problem to be Solved by the Invention) However, when a sheet-shaped oxygen detecting agent is attached to an oxygen scavenger to integrate it, the sheet-like shape does not improve workability. However, there are problems in that it requires a considerable amount of adhesive, takes time to dry, and has low manufacturing efficiency.

In the present invention, the oxygen scavenger is an oxygen scavenger component made of metal powder such as iron powder, /N gold metal chloride such as sodium chloride, and a filler containing water, which is sealed in an air-permeable packaging material. However, as long as it selectively absorbs oxygen, the type and form of its components are not particularly limited, and in addition to the above-mentioned inorganic oxygen scavengers, organic oxygen scavengers good.

In addition, a filamentous oxygen detector is one in which conventionally known oxygen detector components are supported on a filamentous carrier, such as reducing sugars, alkali metal compounds, and pigments that are reduced by reducing sugars. For example, an aqueous solution of an oxygen detecting agent component consisting of the following is supported on a hygroscopic thread-like carrier.

Examples of dyes that can be reduced by reducing sugars include methylene blue, new methylene blue, Rous violet, and methylene green.
It may be used in an amount of 1 to 200 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the alkali metal compound. In addition, reducibility is 11! If only dyes that can be reduced by saccharides are used, the reduced state becomes colorless and difficult to judge with the naked eye. Safranin T, phenosafranin, etc. may be used together.

A mixture of aqueous solutions of reducing sugars, alkali metal compounds, and pigments that can be reduced by reducing sugars (including pigments that cannot be reduced by reducing sugars in some cases) is supported on a filamentous carrier, and then adjusted to an appropriate moisture content. Dry until dry. The reason why the filamentous oxygen detecting agent is made to contain an appropriate amount of moisture is that it does not function as an oxygen detecting agent if moisture is not present. The water content of the filamentous oxygen sensing agent may be adjusted depending on the conditions of use, but is usually 0.01 to 100 parts by weight, preferably 0.1 to 20 parts by weight, per 100 parts by weight of the alkali metal compound. This is the scope of the department. Further, the drying method is not particularly limited and may be natural drying, but vacuum drying is preferably used in order to increase productivity.

Although any method such as pasting with adhesive tape or the like may be used, productivity can be improved the most by sewing. In addition, the composite oxygen detecting agent in which the thread-like oxygen detecting agent is sewn has the effect that the thread-like oxygen detecting agent is visible from both sides of the breathable packaging material, so there is no need to consider the front and back sides when packaging. Furthermore, filamentous oxygen detecting agents are easier to handle than sheet-like ones, require less adhesive if used, and are difficult to peel off even when attached with adhesive tape.

When the composite oxygen scavenger of the present invention is sealed together with the material to be preserved in a packaging material that blocks oxygen, it absorbs oxygen in the packaging atmosphere and becomes anoxic. The pigment is reduced by reducing sugars, and the anoxic state is confirmed by the color change at this time.

For comparison, a filter paper was impregnated with the oxygen sensing liquid produced in the above example and dried under vacuum to obtain a sheet-like oxygen sensing agent. When this sheet-like oxygen detector was bonded to the breathable packaging material of the oxygen absorber using a quick-drying adhesive, it was made into a composite deoxidizer material.
