Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain rushes having excellent fading resistance by adding a copper material containing a small amount of copper powder or iron to an acidic aqueous solution containing an organic acid, placing the rushes in the resultant aqueous solution and treating the rushes at a high temperature. CONSTITUTION:A copper material containing <=5% iron powder (e.g. iron oxide) is added to an acidic aqueous solution containing an organic acid such as citric acid, oxalic acid, malic acid or tartaric acid and rushes are then dipped in the resultant aqueous solution, heated at >=90 deg.C and heat-treated for >= some ten hr to afford rushes dyed to bright green color. The resultant rushes will not fade for a long period.

(Conventional technology) The green color of the new tatami surface brings a refreshing feeling to the living space. If the rushes are left as they are after being collected, the color will quickly fade, so conventionally, blue soil called dyeing is attached to the rushes, or dyeing is mixed into mud and mixed with water. After dyeing rushes green by soaking them in water, they were washed with water and dried.

(Means for Solving the Problems) The method for dyeing rushes of the present invention is as shown in Fig. 1, by adding a dye B consisting of copper and a small amount of iron to an acidic aqueous solution A in which an organic acid is dissolved. Pour Ikusa C into aqueous solution A,
It is characterized in that it is heated for a short time (more than ten minutes or more) at a liquid temperature of over 90' CJl.

(Function) In the method for dyeing rushes of the present invention, as shown in Fig. 1, when a copper dye B containing a small amount of iron is added to an acidic aqueous solution A in which an organic acid is dissolved and heated, the copper and organic A chemical reaction with the acid results in foaming, and the aqueous solution A is colored green. Because the Igusa C is heated at 90℃ or higher for at least ten minutes or more, the Igusa C is evenly dyed in a clear green color, and the green color does not fade for several years due to the fixing effect of the iron contained in the dye. .

Note that if the iron content in the dye is about 10% or more, the rush will not be dyed. Moreover, if the heating temperature of the rush is less than 90° C., the rush will not be colored. Further, if the heating time of the rush is about 10 minutes, the rush will not be dyed in a uniform color.

Then, a stainless steel net container G containing 0.5 kg of rushes is submerged in the same aqueous solution A and fixed, and the rushes C are completely immersed in the aqueous solution A with the rushes facing vertically. When heated for 15 minutes, Igusa C was uniformly dyed bright green. This rush C was washed with water and dried in the open fire for one day. This Igusa C has not faded at all for about two years now.

(Example 2) An acidic aqueous solution obtained by dissolving 1 g of an organic acid such as oxalic acid in water at 2°C is placed in a ceramic pot to dye copper containing less than 5% iron oxide. 7.5g of the agent was added, and the same container was heated with an open flame to maintain the aqueous solution A at 90°C or higher, and about 60 rushes cut into LOCM were added thereto, and the temperature was maintained at the temperature for 15 minutes. When held, the rushes were dyed a bright green color. Similar to Example 1, this rush did not fade at all for about two years.

(Comparative Example 2) Using a concrete container instead of a ceramic pot,
When the rushes were heated in the same manner as in Example 2, the rushes were not dyed at all. This is because the lime component in the concrete makes the aqueous solution neutral or alkaline.
