When finishing the surface of a metal decorative board by dividing it into a mirror-like surface treatment and a hairline-like surface treatment, for example, once the entire surface of the metal plate has been finished to a mirror-like finish,
A protective film is applied to the part that will remain as a mirror surface, and hairline processing is performed in this state.

[Problem to be solved by the invention] The above surface treatment method includes:
The protective film covering the mirror surface peels off at its edges,
As a result, the boundary between the mirror surface and the hairline could not be finished neatly.

In order to achieve the above object, the present invention forms a groove at the boundary with a portion to be subjected to a second surface treatment after performing a first surface treatment, and then performs the first surface treatment. The portion that is desired to be left is covered with a protective film extending to the groove, and then the second surface treatment is performed.

By using the above surface treatment method, the edge of the protective film is held in the groove beyond the first surface treatment, so there is less peeling of the edge due to the second surface treatment, and even if the edge peels off, Even if this happens, the influence of the second surface treatment on the first surface treatment portion disappears.

An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to FIGS. 1 to 4. FIG. 1 is an overall front view of an elevator hall entrance using a metal decorative board finished by the surface treatment method of the present invention. 1 is a building floor, 2 is a building wall erected from the building floor 1, 3 is a three-sided frame attached to the building wall 2 to form an entrance, and 4 is a landing door, on the surface of which a pattern 5 of flowers is drawn. ing.
This pattern 5 is formed by two types of processing methods, for example, a mirror finished part 5A and a hairline finished part (a finish in which straight lines are created on the surface using paper, sanding, etc.) 5B. FIG. 2 shows an enlarged view of the flower part of the flower pattern 5 shown in FIG. Formed by etching (metal corrosion engraving). Figure 3,
FIG. 4 is an enlarged sectional view of the pattern 5, and the groove 5C formed by etching is carved to have an appropriate groove depth d and groove width w depending on the shape and size of the pattern 5.

By the way, the groove 5C is formed only at the edge of the pattern 5 after the entire surface of the landing door 4 is mirror-finished. Then, a portion that is desired to remain as the mirror-finished portion 5A is covered with a protective film 6. This protective film 6
has a size such that it covers the mirror-finished portion 5A and its edge extends into the groove 5C. The edge portion is held within this groove 5C, and peeling of the protective film 6 is prevented. In this way, by applying a hairline finish to the surface of the landing door 4 with the protective film 6 held in the groove 5C and then removing the protective film 6, a mirror field with clear boundaries can be created. A finished part 5A and a hairline finished part 5B are obtained. That is, since the protective film 6 is held using the groove 5C, the thickness t of the protective film 6 can be maintained at an appropriate thickness at the edge, and a predetermined strength can be maintained.
Therefore, when applying paper for hairline finishing, the edges of the protective film 6 are not peeled off, and there is little damage, so that the mirror-finished portion 5A is not damaged by the papering. Therefore,
After removing the protective film 6, the edges of the mirror-finished portion 5A are clear, and the border with the hairline-finished portion 5B is also clear, making it possible to obtain a decorative board with excellent design. Although the protective film 6 is attached by hand-pasting or mechanical printing, the error in installing the protective film 6 can be absorbed by the groove width W of the groove 5C. 5A can also be prevented from being damaged.
