Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily implement the overall test and to easily discriminate a fault location by setting a frequency difference between a transmission intermediate frequency and a reception intermediate frequency equal to a frequency difference between a transmission frequency and a reception frequency. CONSTITUTION:A transmission frequency fT and a reception frequency fR are set while being parted by a difference frequency f1 and a transmission intermediate frequency f1T and a reception intermediate frequency f1R are set similarly while being parted by a difference frequency f1 similarly. In the case of conducting a radio line loopback test, an output signal 2 of a transmitter 1 is branched and inputted to a mixer 71. The mixer 71 receives a signal from an oscillator 70 generating a signal having the difference frequency f1 of the transmission frequency and the reception frequency and converts the output signal 2 into a signal 74 having the reception frequency. A switch 80 receives a reception signal 5 from an antenna or the converted signal 74, selects the converted signal 74 in the case of the loopback test and inputs it to a receiver 4. Thus, the test of the system passing through an intermediate frequency section 102, a high frequency section 101 of the transmitter 1, a high frequency section 104 and an intermediate frequency section 402 of the receiver 4 is conducted.

(Problem to be Solved by the Invention) In the conventional wireless line return test circuit described above, when a fault occurs, although comprehensive testing can be performed, it is difficult to determine whether the fault is in the high frequency section or the intermediate frequency section. There is a problem that it takes time to determine the location of the failure and to restore it.

In other words, from the standpoint of investigating the cause, it is necessary to not only perform a comprehensive test but also to be able to determine whether the fault is in the high frequency section or the intermediate frequency section, but conventional test circuits do not take this into account. It has not been done. This is partly due to the fact that the configuration of conventional wireless transmitting/receiving devices does not allow for easy loopback tests in intermediate frequency bands.

As is well known, the conversion between a high frequency signal and an intermediate frequency signal is
This is done by mixing the signal of a local oscillator that generates a frequency that is the difference between the two, but when high-speed switching between transmitting and receiving frequencies is required, it is often done to make the output signal of this local oscillator shared between transmitting and receiving. be exposed. In such a case, the intermediate frequency for transmission and reception is set arbitrarily, so
The difference in intermediate frequency between transmission and reception is different from the difference between the transmission frequency and the reception frequency. Therefore, if a folding test is to be performed in the intermediate frequency band, it is necessary to configure a dedicated test circuit separately from the comprehensive test circuit. This results in an increase in the size and cost of the device, and the reality is that there is no skill in incorporating it into the device.

(Effects of the Invention) As explained above, according to the wireless transmitting/receiving device of the present invention, the difference frequency between the transmission intermediate frequency and the reception intermediate frequency is set equal to the difference frequency between the transmission frequency and the reception frequency. It is possible to configure a test circuit that can perform loopback tests in high frequency bands and loopback tests in intermediate frequency bands by sharing a loopback oscillator, making it possible to easily identify failure locations as well as comprehensive tests. In addition, since the oscillator for folding is shared, the oscillator space can be reduced in terms of W configuration, which has the effect of making the device more compact.
