付勢された昇降ロツドの下端部に接地ローラが取
付けられていて、刈取時に地表面の形状を読み取
るための刈高センサとを有し、この刈高センサに
より読み取られた地表面の形状に対応させて前記
刈取ユニツトを昇降させることにより、刈高を一
定に保持して草刈りを行う構成の刈高センサを備
えた草刈機において、 前記刈取ユニツトのハウジングの両側面に接地
検出レバーを装着し、この接地検出レバーにより
緊急スイツチを作動させて、刈取ユニツトを上昇
させるように構成したことを特徴とする刈高セン
