(産業上の利用分野)
本発明は電子写真複写機等の定着装置に関す

従来、複写機の定着装置における紙詰まり検知
のための排紙の検知手段としては、第1図に示す

イクロスイツチ3を設け、該スイツチ3のアクチ
ユエーター4を用紙搬送路の通所に配置し、該ア
クチユエーター4に排紙が接触することによつ

(発明の目的)
しかしながら上記定着装置のように排紙を検知
するためのマイクロスイツチ3のアクチエーター
4を用紙搬送路における通過面の下部に設ける
と、紙詰まり除去時に用紙にアクチユエーター4
が喰込んで用紙の除去を困難にしたり、或は用紙
を引張ることによつてアクチユエーター4を変形
させてしまつたりする欠点があつた。またオペレ
ーターが用紙除去のため定着部に手を差入れると
き、第2図に示すようにアクチユエーター4は用
紙搬送路上に突しているため、このアクチユエー
ター4に触れて手に怪傷をしたり、或は用紙の腰
の強さによつてアクチユエーター4の動作量が変
化して調整を余儀なくされたり、スイツチ自体の

(発明の構成)
そのために、本発明は加熱ロールと加圧ロール
の後方の用紙搬送路における下部のフレームに発
光素子と受光素子とで構成する光センサーを配置
し、該センサーに対し、用紙の剥離爪を有する支
持部材の適所に適当形状の薄板状のレバーの一端
部を回動自在に設け、該レバーの他端部は前記セ
ンサーの発光素子と受光素子との間に入り込ませ
て光を遮断すると共に、該レバーの他端部を排紙
時の用紙の先端が上方に押し上げることにより、
発光素子が発する光が受光素子によつて受光さ
れ、これを電気信号に変換して用紙の存在を検知
し、又紙詰まり用紙の除去時には当該レバーを前
記支持部材と共に定着部の上方に回動させて持上
げてしまうことによつて、当該用紙の除去時に前
記レバーを変形させたり、オペレーターの手を怪
傷させたりすることなく、又用紙の腰いかんにか
かわらず常時正常な状態で排紙の検知ができるよ
うにした電子写真複写機等の定着装置を提供する

本発明は以上のように構成し且つ動作するもの
であり、定着部における紙詰まり検知のために用
いる排紙検知手段に発光素子8aと受光素子8b
とで構成する光センサー8を用い、該センサー8
は定着部後方の用紙搬送路における下部フレーム
7に固定すると共に、光センサー8における光の
受光、遮断を繰返し行なうためのシヤツターの役
割をするレバー12は支持部材11側に取付け、
該支持部材11と共に定着部上方に回動させて用
紙搬送路からは取除くことができるように設けて
ものであるから、紙詰まり時における用紙を除去
する際に、用紙を当該レバー12に引掛けて、こ
れを変形させてしまうようなことはなく、又オペ
レーターが用紙除去のため定着部に手を差入れて
もレバー12に触れて手を怪傷することもないの
で当該作業を容易迅速に行なうことができるとい
つた効果と、前記レバー12は用紙の腰の強さい
かんにかかわらず動作量が変化することはないの
で常時、正常な状態で用紙の有無を検知でき、調
整の必要がなくなると共に、誤検知が発生するこ
ともなくなり、装置自体の信頼性の向上に役立つ
