Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of a characteristic caused by a temperature rise of a display element and an IC by constituting the device so that heat generated from a light source is fetched by a heat pipe, and emitted to the outside of a case of a radiation fin. CONSTITUTION:The device is provided with a heat pipe 8 in which one side stretches to the vicinity of a fluorescent lamp 6 being a light source in a case 1 and the other side protrudes to the outside of the case 1, a radiation fin 9 attached to the part protruded to the outside from the case 1 of this heat pipe 8, and an atomizing device 10 which is provided in the vicinity of the case 1 and sprays a coolant to the fin 9. In such a way, heat generated from the fluorescent lamp 6 being the light source is transferred to the radiation fin 9 through the heat pipe 8 and emitted effectively to the open air. In this regard, when cooling is executed to the radiation fin 9 by a liquid such as water or oil, etc., by the atomizing device 10, it takes effect being equal or above in the case of a large screen.

This invention was made in order to solve the above-mentioned problems, and the heat generated by the light source is difficult to be transmitted to the display element, and the heat is efficiently released to the outside, thereby improving the connection between the display element and the IC. Another object of the present invention is to obtain a display device that suppresses temperature rise and provides a screen with stable color tone and less distortion.
