知手段と、該検知手段にて検知した前記記録体の厚さに
応じて、前記定着装置の定着ローラ対の一方の加熱ロー
ラの温度を変化させる定着温度制御手段と、前記加熱ロ
ーラに圧接し、従動回転せしめられる定着ローラ対の他
方の加圧ローラの加圧力を制御する加圧力可変設定手段
とを有している。

る記録体の厚さに応じて、加圧力及び定着温度を可変設
定することができ、記録体の厚さによらず常に良好な定
着性を持つ画像が得られるといった効果がある。
