Abstract

PURPOSE:To allow a sandwiching body easy to be inserted and to be hardly extracted by providing protrusively an engaging lug whose depth part is formed sharp on the depth part of a connecting ring assembled integrally in a cover. CONSTITUTION:The connecting ring 1 is assembled in the cover A with the cover A, and plural connecting lugs 2 are provided protrusively cylindrically on the depth part of the connecting ring 1, and since the cylindrical tip parts 3 of those connecting lugs 2 are formed in gradually convergent shape and also, the tip side of each connecting lug 2 is formed in the convergent shape, an optical cable E is prevented from being extracted by the bite of the tip part 3 of the connecting lug 2 in the outside coating layer T of the optical cable E when the optical cable E inserted to a through hole D by inserting the sandwiching body C to the connecting ring 1 is extracted. Thereby, it is possible to allow the sandwiching body C easy to be inserted and also, a inserted sandwiching body C to be hardly extracted.

As shown in Fig. 4, insert the core wire F of the tip cable E into the ferrule G through the spring eye, cover the outside of the subunong with the support j, and insert them into the insertion hole in the frame as shown in Fig. 7. The protrusion M of the support J is fitted into the fitting groove N of the insertion hole and fixed. Next 111
An inner coating layer Q such as Kevlar, which is vertically aligned on the outside of the core wire F, is spread out and covered on the knurling part P of the support J,
The cylindrical part R of the holding body C is placed on the outside thereof, and the cylindrical part R is caulked from the outside to sandwich the inner coating layer Q. As shown in FIG. 5, the outer coating layer T of the optical cable E is placed on the clamping part S of the clamping body C, and the cylindrical body U is covered on the outside as shown in FIG. Then, the outer coating layer T is clamped and the optical cable E is clamped and fixed to the clamping body C. This clamping body C is inserted into the opening B of the cover A made of an elastic material such as rubber as shown in Fig. 7, and the optical cable E held between the clamping body C is connected to the opening B. The connection of the optical cable E is completed by inserting the optical cable E into the through hole and covering the entire cable with a cap V as shown in the figure.

(Problem to be Solved by the Invention) However, in the conventional optical connector, the locking edge X is provided protruding from the insertion port W of the opening B of the cover A.
In order to insert the clamping body C into the opening B, the clamping body C must be forcefully pushed. However, since the cover A is made of an elastic material, the clamping body C may be forced into the opening B.
The surrounding wall easily buckled, and the workability of pushing was poor, and skill was required to do it skillfully. Moreover, this was a factor that inhibited the automatic connection of the optical cable E.

(Means for Solving the Problems) As shown in FIG. 3, the optical connector cover of the present invention is made by inserting a clamping body C into an opening B of a cover A made of an elastic material such as rubber. In an optical connector cover in which a sandwiched optical cable E is inserted through a through hole communicating with the opening B, the optical cable shown in FIG. 1a is inserted into the opening B.
As shown in the figure, the locking ring 1 into which the holding body C is inserted is attached to the cover A.
As shown in Fig. 1, a plurality of locking pawls 2 are protruded in a cylindrical shape, and the tip ends thereof are tapered as shown in Figure 1. It is characterized by being formed so that the inner diameter d1 of the optical cable 3 is smaller than the outer diameter d2 of the optical cable E inserted into the locking ring 1, so that it becomes gradually thinner toward the back.

(Function) In the optical connector cover of the present invention, as shown in FIG. are protruded into a cylindrical shape, and the cylindrical tip 3 of each locking pawl 2 becomes gradually thinner, and the tip side of each locking pawl 2 is tapered, so that the clamping body C can be inserted into the locking ring 1. When an attempt is made to pull out the optical cable E that has been inserted into the through hole, the tip 3 of the locking pawl 2 bites into the outer coating layer T of the optical cable E, and the cable E cannot be pulled out. Therefore, there is no need to form a locking edge X in the insertion port W of the opening B to prevent the clamping body C from coming off as in the conventional case.
The holding body C can be easily inserted into the opening B without buckling.

Reference numeral 1 in the figure is a locking ring into which the clamping body C holding the optical cable E is inserted. This locking ring l is formed into a cylindrical shape from a plastic material such as metal, and is integrally assembled with the cover A on the inner periphery of the opening B of the cover A by insert molding or the like. The inner diameter d5 of this locking ring 1 is made slightly larger than the outer diameter d3 of the clamping body C, so that the clamping body C can be easily inserted into the ring l.

2 shown in FIG. 1 is a locking pawl. Each of these locking claws 2 is formed to be tapered at the tip side, and the plurality of locking claws 2
is provided in a cylindrical shape protruding from the inner side of the locking ring 1. The dl of the cylindrical tip 3 due to these locking claws 2 is
As clearly shown in Fig. 1, it is formed to become gradually thinner toward the back so that it becomes smaller than the outer diameter d2 (Fig. 2) of the optical cable E inserted from the locking ring 1 into the through hole. . As a result, when an attempt is made to pull out the optical cable E inserted into the through hole, the tip portion 3 bites into the outer coating layer T, thereby preventing the cable E from being pulled out. By the way, these locking claws 2 are attached to the optical cable E.
When inserted, the optical cable E provides elasticity so that it is pushed outward. Further, when inserting the optical cable E, a diameter expanding ring (not shown) or the like may be inserted in advance to spread the front J2 locking claws 2.

前記係止爪2の本数や形状は前記以外であってもよい。The number and shape of the locking claws 2 may be other than those described above.
