【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は電子写真複写機・記録機あるいはマイ
クロ機等の画像形成装置に用いられるブレード装
置の製造方法に関する。

電子写真装置等の画像形成装置には種々のブレ
ード装置が用いられている。例えば電子写真複写
機では、まず、ドラム周面に設けられた光導電性
の感光層に原稿と対応した光像が投影されて静電
潜像が形成され、次にこの潜像に現像剤を付着さ
せることによりトナー像が形成される。さらに転
写材が感光ドラムに圧接され、ドラム上の画像が
転写される。最後にこれが定着されてコピーがで
きあがる。転写後、ドラムはその上に残留するト
ナーがクリーニング装置によつて除去されて次の
画像形成に備える。クリーニング装置としては、
従来よりブレードクリーニング方式がある。この
方式は通常耐摩耗性のゴム材を感光体表面に圧接
させ、そのエツジで感光体表面に残留するトナー
を摩擦除去するものである。この方法に基づく装
置は構造が簡単で、コンパクトな構成としうるの
で、電子写真式複写機のクリーニング装置として
非常に有用である。

は、ブレードホルダー4取り付け面6の位置精度
であるので、部品精度によつておさえることでき
る。これに対しY−Y方向は、ホルダー4とブレ
ード3の取り付け方によつてばらつく要素が大き
い。このY−Y方向の寸法のばらつきを押えるた
めにはホルダーとブレードのみつけ後、ブレード
の先端を切断すればよい。こうすることによつて
ブレードの位置(例えば、位置決めピンからブレ
ード先端までの距離l1、又は、ホルダーからブレ
ード先端までの自由長l2)の精度は、切断工具の
位置決め精度に置き換えることができることにな
り、±100μ程度の寸法のばらつきに押えることが
容易に達成できることになる。ここで本発明は弾
性ブレードの幅方向の両端部に保持部材を各々保
持させる第1の工程と、この弾性ブレードを保持
部材間で長手方向に亘つて切断する第2の工程
と、によりブレード装置を製造することによりブ
レードのエツジ精度を得るものである。これによ
り、これまでエツジ精度が出ないといわれていた
金型注型品のものも使うことができるようにな
り、収率を高くすることができる。さらに、第2
図に示すような切断方法ではゴムにムダ3が出る
ことになるので、本発明は第3図のように1枚の
ゴムブレード3に対し、治具上に位置決めされた
2個のホルダー4を接着等の方法で固定し、中央
部で切断するので、生産性も高まる(切断位置は
矢印で示す)。また、接着ビス締めによる固定の
他、ホルダーに対してブレードを一体的に成形す
ることも可能である(第5図)。
