Claims

In a sealed rotary compressor in which an electric motor and a compression mechanism are housed vertically in a sealed container, and the end of the rotating shaft of the electric motor is supported by a sub-bearing, a cover member in which a thrust plate is housed is formed therein. The thrust plate is attached to the sub-bearing coaxially with the rotating shaft through the claw portion, and the elastic cut-out piece formed on the cover member presses the thrust plate against the shaft end surface of the rotating shaft, and also resists impact loads. A sealed rotary compressor characterized in that the rotary shaft is received by the inner surface of a sub-bearing in sliding contact with the end surface of an eccentric crank portion of a rotating shaft.
