い。 U.S. Pat. No. 3,770,185 uses a fabric made of fiberboard coated with paraffin or polyethylene on both sides, for example, and has a gable top closure with a tear strip to provide a straw hole. The invention discloses the formation of a folded beverage storage carton. The tear strip is formed by two score lines separated at a regular interval on the outer surface of the wall forming the gable top, and the straw hole is formed by two score lines separated at a regular interval. Below and in between, it is formed by an annular score line made on the inner surface of the same wall. The score line shall be at a depth substantially overlapping from the opposite side of the wall forming the gable (i.e. wall thickness 40 to 75 mm).
percentage) is cut. A regularly spaced score line starts from the top edge of the sealing fin of the top closure, first converging toward a point, then converging in the same direction, across one of the sealing subpanels of the gable closure, and extending from the top edge of the sealing fin of the top closure. Extends directly inside one of the sealing subpanels. The convergence of the regularly spaced score lines abut respective ends of the arcuate recess formed in the top edge of the substantially opposite sealing subpanel. This recess allows the consumer to easily grasp the top end of the tear strip. The intent of this design is that by pulling the tear strip, the layer of material between the regularly spaced score lines is separated from the gable along with the full thickness of the wall encompassing the inside of the annular score line. There is a particular thing. However, the tear strip cannot be reliably removed in a planned manner. The first is relying on shearing of the paper covering that should not occur at the base of the arcuate recess. A second reason is that the shape of the recess provides stronger adhesion and greater support at the edges of the tear strip than in the middle, thus allowing for stripping in the center rather than intended for the edges. encourage The third reason is that although the regularly spaced score lines extend to the true top of the sealing fin, such features do not provide the best representation of the fin portion to be grasped by the consumer; Does not provide the best guidance for stripping motions.

The punched fabric consists of a paperboard coated with a suitable thermoplastic material in each layer on both sides. The punched fabric is divided into panels 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 by four parallel score lines 2, and panel 15 becomes a corner sealing panel. Scoreline 3, which is perpendicular to scoreline 2, divides the array of panels 11-15 into the array of flat bottom closure panels 21-25, the array of main sub-panels 31-35, the array of top closure sealing sub-panels 41-45, and the gable-shaped array. The arrangement of top cutoff sealing sub-panels 51 to 55 that form the sealing fins of the top cutoff is divided. Another scoreline 4 is provided such that the flat bottom closure and the gable top closure are folded in by the storer and the drinking spout of the gable top closure is folded back by the consumer. Instead of using a spout, the consumer may use a straw hole device located in the top edge zone of the container. The device includes a tear strip 5 centrally located between the top cutoff sealing subpanel 42 and the top cutoff sealing subpanel 52, the tear strip being perpendicular to the score line 3 and extending across the top cutoff sealing subpanel 52. It is defined by two score lines 6 extending to the top closure sealing subpanel 42. The score line 6 cuts into the plastic layer on the outer surface of the cutout container, but it stops near the plastic layer forming the inner surface of the cutout container. What is formed on the inner surface of the container of the top closing and sealing sub-panel 42 is the following:
The annular cut line 7 has a complete annular shape. This annular score line 7 cuts into the plastic layer on the inner surface of the container, but stops near the plastic layer on the outer surface of the container. This annular cut line 7 is arranged between the two cut lines 6. Two notches 8 are formed in the free end of the top cutoff sealing subpanel 52 leading to the score line 6. At the bottom of the notch 8 is a third score line 9 extending parallel to the score line 3 from one side to the other. In other words, opening strip 5
intersects the width of This third cut line 9
cuts into the plastic layer on the inside surface of the container, but stops near the plastic layer on the outside surface of the container. Each side of the notch 8 is circular. A recess 10 is formed in the center of the free end of the top cut-off sealing sub-panel 54, the sides of which are circular like the outer surfaces of the notch 8, and the bottom of which is straight and colinear with the third score line 9.

る。 The bottom closure of the container is folded and sealed using heat and pressure before being filled with liquid. The top closure is then folded and sealed by heat and pressure, resulting in the appearance shown in FIGS. 3 and 4. Here, the third incision line 9 is located in the recess 1
0, and the curved side surface of the recess 10 coincides with the curved outer surface of the notch 8.
In this manner, the top closure sealing subpanel 51-55 can be removed by the consumer grasping and pulling the portion of the tear strip 5 protruding from the bottom of the recess 10.
The presence of the third score line 9 and the fact that all of the tear strip 5 above the third score line 9 remains unsealed to the top closure sealing subpanel 54 indicates that tearing of the tear strip 5 is not possible. The result is that it spans the entire width of the tear strip 5 and starts in the middle of the paper board of the tear strip 5 at the level of the third score line 9 . By continuing to pull the tear strip 5, the seal is opened until the plug of material surrounded by the annular score line 7 is pulled out by the tear strip 5 to provide a straw hole in the top closure sealing subpanel 42. The paperboard is peeled off across the entire width of the band 5 between the two score lines 6 downwards.
