Claims (1)
- 排気ガスが流入する筒状容器内に、その排気ガ
ス流通方向が軸長方向となるように円柱状の触媒
担体を収容するとともに、この触媒担体を、前記
筒状容器内に収容された環状の保持部材により保
持してなる触媒コンバータにおいて、前記保持部
材を、前記筒状容器の内面に当接する環状の外側
保持部材と、この外側保持部材内に収容され前記
触媒担体の外面に当接する環状の内側保持部材と
から構成するとともに、前記内側保持部材の外面
に内側環状プレートを設け、前記外側保持部材の
内側に外側環状プレートを設け、さらに、これら
の内側環状プレートと外側環状プレートとの摩擦
抵抗を、前記触媒担体と前記内側保持部材との摩
擦抵抗および前記外側保持部材と前記筒状容器と
の摩擦抵抗よりも小さくしてなることを特徴とす
る触媒コンバータ。
