本発明はロータリスイツチ装置に関し、特に自
動車のオートマチツクトランスミツシヨンを運転
者が手元で操作するのに適したロータリスイツチ
装置に係るものである。 この種のロータリスイツチ装置には、回動操作
部材のロツク装置が設けられている。これは、例
えば自動車のトランスミツシヨンを操作するスイ
ツチ装置であれば、走行中における誤操作によつ
てむやみにリバースギヤにトランスミツシヨンが
変更されるなどの危険を防止するためである。ロ
ツク装置としては回転操作部材自身を回動軸方向
にプツシユすることによりロツクが解除されるも
の、又は回動操作部材の近傍の固定位置にロツク
解除ボタンを設けたものなどが考えられるが、前
者はプツシユ操作が腕全体で行なわれる操作感と
なるため、手先のみで回動スイツチの操作感と合
致せず、思わず回動操作部材を回動させ過ぎてし
まうなど操作性が悪いものであつた。また後者は
回動操作部材のそれぞれのポジシヨンに対して、
ロツク解除ボタンの位置が異なることになり、や
はり操作性に問題があつた。 本発明は上記の点に鑑みてなされたもので、操
作性の向上を図ると共に、スイツチのポジシヨン
と車速とからスイツチの危険なポジシヨンへの移
行を強制的に阻止し、操作性に安全を図つたロー
タリスイツチ装置の提供を目的としている。 以下に本発明の実施例を図面に基づいて説明す
る。 第1図は実施例の断面図、第2図は主要部分の
分解斜視図であり、自動車本体に固定される固定
部材1の周囲には筒状の操作部材2が回動自在に
嵌合し、この操作部材2の内側には筒状のプツシ
ユノブ3が回動軸方向に摺動自在に嵌合し、前記
操作部材2とプツシユノブ3とは操作部材2の内
周面とプツシユノブ3の外周面とに形成した溝4
によつて互いの回動が規制されている。プツシユ
ノブ3内に位置する前記固定部材1の端部は筒状
体1aを形成しており、筒状体1aの先端部には
鍔状に突出するストツパ1bを設けている。筒状
体1aの外周面上であつて前記プツシユノブ3の
内周面との間にはリング状の連動部材5が遊嵌し
ており、この連動部材5は前記プツシユノブ3と
一体に回動してプツシユノブ3の一部を構成する
とともに、コイル状の戻しバネ6によつて常に回
動軸に沿つた外方へ付勢されている。 また前記固定部材1の筒状体1aの内部には、
接点基板7が固定されており、ロー、セカンド、
ドライブ、ニユートラル、リバース、パーキング
等の自動車のトランスミツシヨンに対応する接点
7a,7b,7c…がそれぞれ基板7上に設けら
れ、これらの接点7a,7b,7c…はリード線
8によりスイツチ装置外の電気回路(図示せず)
に接続されている。この接点に対応する可動接点
9aは、プツシユノブ3に形成された突軸3bと
軸孔9bとの嵌合により該プツシユノブ3に固定
した回転板9に設けられ、自身の弾性により前記
接点7a,7b…のいずれかに弾接している。更
に操作部材2の回動操作に節度感をもたせるため
に、前記固定部材1の内周面には接点の数、配置
角度と対応する位置に凹部1cが形成されてお
り、この凹部1cに対して側方からバネ10によ
つて付勢されたピン11が係脱するように回転板
9に装備されている。 また、プツシユノブ3の押圧操作感をもたせる
ために、固定部材1の内軸部にバネ12によつて
付勢されるボール13を設け、このボール13を
支軸3aの溝3dに対し係脱すようにしている。 次に、第2図の分解斜視図、第3図の展開図に
よつて本実施例におけるロツク及び解除構造の詳
細を説明する。 前記固定部材1のストツパ1bは鍔の長さ及び
高さを変化させた複数の爪からなつており、一方
固定部材1の外周に遊嵌する連動部材5はその一
端に2個の段状の突部5a,5bを備えている。
そして前記爪と突部5a,5bとが係合するとプ
ツシユノブ3及び操作部材2は回動が規制され、
プツシユノブ3を回動軸方向に押し込むことによ
り、戻しバネ6に抗して連動部材5を摺動させる
と、前記爪と5a,5bとの係合は解除され、プ
ツシユノブ3及び操作部材2の回動が可能とな
る。プツシユノブ3と連動部材5との連動は、プ
ツシユノブ3の内壁に設けたボス3cと連動部材
5の端部に形成した切欠き5cとの係合によつて
行われ、戻しバネ6の付勢力によつて常に係合
し、一体化されている。 第3図に基づいて本実施例の動作を説明する。
第3図はトランスミツシヨンがパーキングPの位
置にあることを示している。パーキング位置にあ
つては突部5aがストツパ1bの爪1dと爪1e
との間に係合し、回動を規制されている。そこで
プツシユノブ3を押して連動部材5を下方へ移動
させれば係合は解除されるから、この状態でプツ
シユノブ3及び操作部材2を回動させれば、連動
部材5は回動(第3図で左方向へ移動)し、爪1
fの上に突部5aが当接した状態で次のリバース
R位置にくる。リバースR位置からニユートラル
N位置へはストツパ1bに爪がないため、単に操
作部材2を回動させれば突部5aは爪1f上から
脱落し容易に移動させることができる。更にニユ
ートラルNからドライブDへの変化もストツパ1
bには爪がなく、単なる操作部材2の回動によつ
てなされ得る。次にドライブDからセカンドSへ
はストツパ1bに爪1gがあるため、プツシユノ
ブ3を摺動させて連動部材5を回動軸方向に摺動
させ、突部5aを爪1g上に載せることによつて
行う。更にローLへの移動は、爪1gより高い爪
1h上に突部5aを移動させなければならないか
ら、やはりプツシユノブ3を摺動させることが必

する場合には、プツシユノブ3の操作が必要とな

ドSからローLへの切換にはストツパ1bが動作

メカニカルロツクが介在してもプツシユノブ3を
押圧すれば自由にポジシヨンの切換え操作が可能
なことになるが、車速とギヤ比との関係あるいは
その他の安全面などから、切換え操作がなされる
