Problems to be Solved by the Invention However, in the method of making the leading edge of the recording paper wait at the recording start position B,
As a result of the recording paper having a length corresponding to the distance between the receiving roller 3 and the cut position C being constantly maintained in a slack state behind the receiving roller 3, the recording paper becomes bent, and in subsequent operations, There is a problem in that the probability that the paper gets wrapped around the receiving roller 3 and causes problems such as recording paper jams increases.

Means for Solving the Problems In order to achieve the above object, the recording paper position control method of the present invention provides a first
a recording means that contacts the first roller; a cutting means that separates the recorded recording paper from the recording paper sent out by the first roller; a second roller that has a high speed and discharges the recorded recording paper; a detection means that is located between the cutting means and the second roller and detects the leading edge of the recording paper;
a driving means for driving the first roller and the second roller in forward and reverse rotation, and at the time of starting recording, the leading edge of the recording paper is aligned in the running direction of the recording paper with respect to the cutting position of the recorded recording paper. The recording paper is sent from a standby position set at a predetermined distance downstream to a detection position by the detection means, and then to the recording position, and when recording is finished, the recorded recording paper is moved from the recording position to the cutting position. After feeding and cutting of the recorded recording paper, the leading edge of the recording is detected again by the detection means, and then the recording paper is immediately returned to the standby position.

Function: The leading end of the roll of recording paper is detected by an optical sensor, and is pulled back from this detection position to a standby position where it is always on standby. This pullback amount is determined by the distance between the detection position and the standby position (which can actually be set to several mm), and is different from the conventional pullback amount (between the recording start position and the cut position). (the amount corresponding to the distance) is extremely small compared to the amount corresponding to the distance. Therefore, during standby, the sagging phenomenon of the rolled recording paper behind the receiving roller as in the conventional case hardly occurs.

In addition, each time recording is performed, the leading edge of the rolled recording paper is detected by an optical sensor, and the leading edge of the recording paper is pulled back to a predetermined recording start position using this detection position as a reference point. The amount is always constant, and the leading edge of the recording paper accurately and reliably returns to the recording start position and has the effect of matching.

Further, the receiving roller 3 and the discharging roller 7 are linked to a drive motor 8 via a timing belt 9, thereby simplifying the drive system. The drive motor 8 is driven and controlled by a recording start signal, a detection signal from the optical sensor, and the like. Note that the circumferential speed of the discharge roller 7 is set slightly faster than the circumferential speed of the receiving roller 3,
When the leading edge of the recording paper reaches the detection position E, the cut recorded recording paper running just in front of the leading edge of the recording paper passes through the discharge position F and is discharged to the receiving stacker 10. ing.

When the optical sensor 6 detects the leading edge of the recording paper,
A detection signal is output to the drive motor 8. As a result, the drive motor 8 drives the receiving roller 3 in the reverse direction,
The leading edge of the recording paper at the detection position E is pulled back to the standby position D, and when the leading edge of the recording paper reaches the waiting position D, the driving of the drive motor 8 is stopped. In other words, the leading edge of the recording paper normally stops at the standby position and is in a standby state.

On the other hand, when communication with the sending side becomes possible, that is, just before recording starts, the drive motor 8 receives the command and rotates the receiving roller 3 in the forward direction.
The leading edge of the recording paper at the standby position D is advanced to the detection position E. The optical sensor 6 detects the leading edge of the recording paper that has reached this detection position E, and supplies this detection signal to the drive motor 8. As a result, the drive motor 8 causes the receiving roller 3 to reversely rotate, and the detection position E
Pull the leading edge of the recording paper back to the recording start position B,
When the leading edge of the recording paper reaches this position B, the reverse rotation of the receiving roller 3 is stopped (the drive motor 8 is stopped).

When the leading edge of the recording paper stops at the recording start position B, as is well known, recording (printing) starts from the recording position A via the thermal print head 4, and the recording paper after recording is finished (hereinafter referred to as recorded recording paper). When the paper reaches the cutting position C, the cutter 5 separates the recorded paper from the roll of paper 1.
It is discharged to the reception stacker 10 via the discharge roller 7.

In this case, the leading edge of the rolled recording paper 1 (recording paper leading edge) and the recorded recording paper move synchronously and move forward in the ejection direction, but the receiving roller 7 rotates in the same direction by a gear mechanism (not shown). It is something.
When the leading edge of the recording paper reaches the detection position E, the optical sensor 6 detects this and the receiving roller 3
Then, the forward rotation drive of the discharge roller 7 is switched to reverse rotation drive. At this time, the paper ejection roller does not rotate because it is connected to the motor 8 via a one-way clutch.

By switching the reverse rotation drive, the leading edge of the recording paper is pulled back from the detection position E to the standby position D, and when the leading edge of the recording paper reaches this position D, the drive motor 8 causes the receiving roller 3 to rotate in the reverse direction. Stop driving.
That is, as described above, the leading edge of the recording paper is stopped at the standby position D, waiting for the next recording start time.

In addition, the optical sensor 6 (detection position E) is connected to the cutter 5.
Instead of installing it between the optical sensor and the ejection roller 7, it is possible to provide it between the recording start position B and the cutter 5, and to set the standby position of the leading edge of the recording paper between this optical sensor and the recording start position. The amount of pullback can be reduced. However, in this case, the receiving roller 3
and discharge roller 7 must be driven independently.

Effects of the Invention In summary, the present invention detects the leading edge of a roll of recording paper with an optical sensor, returns it to a standby position set behind this detection position, and keeps it on standby at all times. Immediately before starting recording, the leading edge of the recording paper in the standby position is advanced to the detection position, the detection is confirmed by an optical sensor, and then the leading edge of the recording paper is pulled back to the recording start position. When it is pulled back to the recording start position, the sagging state caused by the pulling back is eliminated in a very short time, and it no longer bends as in the conventional case.

In addition, in order to pull the leading edge of the recording paper back to the recording start position immediately before recording starts, that is, when communication with the sending side is enabled, when so-called recording unnecessary information such as a wrong call or communication failure is input. Furthermore, it is not necessary to move the roll of recording paper unnecessarily, and recording paper jams and waste paper ejection caused by conventional unnecessary movement are prevented, which is economically advantageous.

Furthermore, each time reception starts, the leading edge of the recording paper is detected and confirmed using an optical sensor, and using this detection position as a reference point,
In order to pull the leading edge of the recording paper back by a certain amount, that is, to the standby position or the recording start position, the leading edge of the recording paper is
It always matches and stops at each of these predetermined positions accurately and reliably. Therefore, even when the leading edge of the recording paper is pulled back to the recording start position, for example, there is no possibility that the leading edge of the recording paper will come off the receiving roller (feeding roller) due to being pulled back too much as in the conventional case. In addition, even if the power is cut off for some reason or an accident such as a power outage occurs, when the power is turned on again, the leading edge of the recording paper will always move from the detection position, which is the reference point, to the predetermined position (standby position or recording start position). Since the data will be returned, there will be no negative effect on the record.
