PRIOR TECHNOLOGY There are many types of chairs, such as office chairs, learning chairs, comfort chairs, various types of work chairs, and body correction chairs.
It is often desirable to have something that allows you to move your body as needed. Especially when sitting for a long period of time, it is often desirable for the sitter to tilt his/her upper body back using his or her own strength for special tasks or body correction in addition to releasing the body when sitting for a long period of time. Among such chairs that can be tilted backwards, there are chairs in which the backrest part can be tilted backwards with a spring force, and chairs in which the backrest plate can be rotated around a horizontal axis.

Problems that the invention aims to solve However, in many of these chairs, the height of the backrest is constant, and even if the height can be changed, for example by loosening the set screw. The backrest plate must be moved up and down along the support rod, which is time-consuming and the variable range is narrow. Therefore, the seater was forced to lean backwards with his or her back supported in a substantially normal state, and was unable to fully release his or her body.

The chair shown in FIG. 1 includes a base 1 having a seat surface 10 on the upper part, and a backrest 2 provided at the rear of the base.
It is a reception chair equipped with. The front part of the platform 1 is
The seat 10 has a structure similar to that of a normal chair with appropriate cushioning properties. A member forming part of a backrest 2, which will be described below, is attached to the rear part of the base 1. As shown in the figure, the backrest portion 2 includes an upper portion 3 and a lower portion 4 that form a backrest surface, and a support portion 5 that elastically supports the lower end portion. The upper part 3 has a pair of articulated rods 30 whose lower ends are fixed to the blocks 40 of the lower part 4 and which extend in the vertical direction on both the left and right sides of the chair;
Reinforcement beam 31 that connects a pair of articulated rods 30, 30
and a cushioning member 32 that covers these articulated rods and reinforcing bars to form a backrest surface. The articulated rods 30 are four single rods 34, 3 connected to each other so as to be rotatable in a plane along the front and back direction of the chair.
5, 36, and 37. These single rods are
They are interconnected, as shown in detail in FIGS. 4 and 5. Taking the connection between a single rod 36 and a single rod 37 as an example, there are
Through holes 360 and 370 are provided respectively.
Around the through holes 360, 370, protruding portions 361, 371 are provided at equal intervals on the same circumference centered on each through hole in the same direction (to the left in FIG. 4). From the through hole 360 to the single rod 36
A radially extending sector cutout 362 with a 90° central angle is provided at the location shown. Single rod 37
A protrusion 372 that engages with the fan-shaped notch 362 when the articulating rod is assembled is provided at the position shown. As shown in FIG. 5, these single rods 36 and 37 are connected by overlapping the two single rods so that the convex part of the punched part 371 fits into the recess of the punched part 361, and by forming a center hole. The disc spring 38 is placed on the protrusion side of the punched portion 361, and the center hole and through holes 360, 37 are
This is done by passing pin 39 through 0 and caulking. Based on the support by the pin 39, the disc spring 38 presses the single rod 36 against the single rod 37, and the protruding portions 361, 37
1. By mutual engagement, the positions of the single rods 36 and 37 are stably maintained. When rotational force acts on the single rod 37 in the direction of arrow A in FIG.
1, the single rod 37 rotates around the pin 39, and when it advances to the adjacent protruding part 361, it is stably held in position again by the engagement of both protruding parts based on the pressing force of the disc spring 38. When the single rod 37 further rotates in the direction of arrow A, the protrusion 372 comes into contact with the horizontal edge of the fan-shaped notch 362, preventing further rotation.
When rotating in the opposite direction from this position, the same effect as described above is obtained, and the protrusion 372 is rotated in the sector-shaped notch 36.
When it comes into contact with the vertical edge of 2, further rotation is prevented. Since the single rods 36 and 37 are arranged so that the direction of arrow A is forward in the backrest part 3, the upper part 3 of the backrest part can be rotated forward from the standing position and can be rotated backward. This will prevent rotation. This type of connection is similar between other single rods. However, the notches and protrusions provided on each single rod are positioned so as to allow forward rotation of the single rod and prevent rearward rotation. As a result, the upper portion 3 can be bent significantly forward by rotation at each joint of the articulated rod 30, as shown in FIG. As shown in FIG. 3, the reinforcing bar 31 extends between the uppermost pair of single rods and the lower pair of single rods so as not to impede the above-mentioned rotation. It is adapted to support the load. Cushioning member 32
is made of a flexible material that does not impede the above-mentioned rotation, and various foamed materials and fiber materials can be used for this.

The lower portion 40 of the backrest portion includes a block 40 provided at the upper portion to support the lower end of the articulating rod 30, and a drapery 41 covering the gap between the block 40 and the base portion 1. The block 40 extends in the width direction of the chair, is supported by a support portion 5 to be described later, and is made of a material having appropriate rigidity so as to support the articulated rod 30 at both ends. Tarupu 4
1 is provided on each surface so as to cover the gap between the block 40 and the base 1, and is made of a flexible material that can be freely bent when the block 40 moves up and down. A pair of support parts 5 are provided on the left and right rear sides of the chair, and as shown in detail in FIG. Rod 51 that can move up and down
and a compression coil spring 52 mounted within the guide portion 50. The guide portion 50 is closed at its lower end and tapered at its upper end so as to guide the rod 51. The rod 51 has a spring support/removal preventing flange 510 at its lower end, and projects from the guide portion 50 under an upward force from a spring 52. The guide portion 50 is attached with a slight inclination so that the upper portion thereof faces forward, so that the sliding direction of the rod 51 is inclined so as to be slightly backward when descending. The sliding range of the rod 51 is such that when the rod 51 is in the upper position, the block 40 is positioned from approximately the center of the back of the seater to the upper waist, and when it is in the lower position, the block 40 is moved to a position where the block 40 is positioned from approximately the center of the seater's back to the upper waist, and when it is in the lower position, the block 40 is moved to a position where the block 40 is positioned from approximately the center of the seater's back to the upper waist, and when the block 40 is at the lower position, the block 40 is moved to a position where the block 40 is positioned from approximately the center of the back of the seater to the upper waist, and when the block 40 is at the lower position, it causes the seater to lean back significantly as described below. determined to be permissible. The strength of the spring 52 is
The backrest portion 3 is selected so that it descends while giving an appropriate support reaction force to the seater due to the load when the seater leans back.

Function This chair can be used as follows. Normally, the lower part of the backrest part 3 is the block 4.
0 is in the upper position due to the force of the spring 52, and the upper part 3 assumes an upright position with the articulated rod 30 extending in a straight line, so the backrest part 3 has a high back configuration that can support the seater's head from the back. It is said that Articulated rod 30
is prevented from rotating backwards as mentioned above,
Further, since the movement of the block 40 is substantially in the vertical direction, the backrest portion 2 hardly moves due to the load applied to the seater's backrest portion in a substantially horizontal direction rearward. Next, when the upper part 3 is bent forward, the upper part is held in the bent position by the action of the articulating rod 30, and becomes capable of supporting the seated person at the rear when standing up. The support position by this rear surface is
It is desirable that the seat be located approximately at the center of the back of the seater so that the load caused by the seater's backward tilt acts largely on the backrest portion 2 in the vertical direction. When the seated person leans back from this state, the block 40 descends against the spring force of the spring 52, and the upper portion 3 also descends accordingly, allowing the seated person to take a posture that is largely arched backwards. can.

In the above example, a case with two supporting parts 5 has been described, but the number of supporting parts can be arbitrarily determined depending on the purpose and function of the chair, and the sliding between the supporting parts It is also possible to use a guide part that guides the lower part of the backrest along the direction.
As a spring to bias the lower part upwards,
In addition to the above-mentioned compression coil springs, various springs used for reciprocating motion with normal biasing force can be used, such as tension springs, air springs, and combinations thereof.

As the support structure for the lower part of the backrest, various structures other than the above-mentioned example can be adopted, and for example, the structure shown in FIG. 7 or FIG. 8 can also be used. The support structure shown in FIG.
The lower block 40 is attached to the other end of a lever 61 that extends upward in an L shape with one end supported by a horizontal shaft 60 below the seat surface, and the lever 61 is attached to a coil spring 6.
2, it is biased upward. 8th
The support part 7 shown in the figure has a compression coil spring 70 interposed between the block 40 in the lower part and the base part 1. Most importantly, in the examples shown in FIGS. 7 and 8, when a load is applied to the rear of the seater while the upper portion 3 is in an upright position, the backrest portion 2 moves slightly downward or backward. becomes.

That is, the chair can be used as a normal chair if the upper part of the backrest is in an upright position, and if the upper part of the backrest is bent forward from the upright position to lower the height of the backrest, It can be used as a chair suitable for those who sit backwards. Moreover, since the backrest can elastically descend with respect to the seat as the seater leans back toward the bent upper portion, the seatback does not bend much backwards. It is possible to bend backward and fully release the body. Furthermore, the chair includes a pair of articulated rods, each of which is comprised of a plurality of single rods arranged opposite to each other on both the left and right sides of the chair and rotatably connected to each other, in the upper portion of the backrest. It is equipped with an auxiliary crosspiece extending between the opposite single rods. Therefore, the rotation at each joint of the articulated rod on both the left and right sides of the chair is equal, and the bending height of the backrest can be adjusted to the same height on both sides, and the posture of the sitter when leaning backwards. can be stably supported. Since the upper part of the backrest of the chair according to the present invention is bendable, it is particularly advantageous for so-called high back chairs that support the seater from the back to the head.
