Abstract

PURPOSE:To remove the warpage and distortion of wood shavings by a method in which glass fiber is laminated on aged wood, and these materials are integrally press-bonded and formed with an adhesive. CONSTITUTION:A number of wood shavings are prepared, and glass fiber is attached between the wood shavings in random directions, and then they are so press-bonded and formed with an adhesive that the wood shaving, glass fiber and wood shaving are made integral. The glass fiber may be also attached onto the rear of one wood shaving as backing material, or after the glass fiber has been attached between the wood shaving and a paper, they may be also press-bonded and formed with an adhesive. When a part of the inorganic fiber such as ceramic fiber or carbon fiber etc., is used, the same effect as that of the glass fiber is recognized.
