Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance the resistance of an ink solvent and at the same time, increase ink desorption to perform data printing stably by applying a silicone resin to the ink transfer surface of a resin film. CONSTITUTION:This blanket is for example, a blanket obtained by applying a silicone resin to one side surface of a l00mum-thick PET film and is supplied in the form of a roll wound to the diameter of about 30cm. This blanket is used by winding it around the circumferential part of a blanket cylinder 2. First, a new portion of the blanket l is pulled out by rotating a winding roll 3, then is wound around the circumferential part of the blanket cylinder 2 and firmly fixed using a fixing device 5. The blanket cylinder 2 is set to an opposite position to the plate fixing metal 61 of a surface plate 6 which is installed in a freely horizontally movable manner. Then the blanket l is allowed to come in contact with a printing plate fixed to the plate fixing metal 61. Thus the ink supplied to the printing plate is received by the surface of the blanket l. This method of replacing ink each time it is transferred is a disposable one and the ink transfer takes place stably etch time, due to the application of the silicone resin on the printing surface.

Offset printing blankets have the important function of receiving ink from the printing plate and transferring it to the printing material, so in order to perform high-precision printing, the blanket must have an even thickness and a smooth surface. A mirror finish is desirable. For this reason, we take great care when creating blankets to give them a mirror finish to avoid uneven thickness as much as possible, but when the hard-earned blankets are used for printing, they swell due to the ink solvent. Due to the nature of the ink, there was a problem that unless the adhering solvent was removed by volatilization each time, the surface shape would change and the ink transfer characteristics would fluctuate, making it impossible to continue good printing. . Therefore, in actual use, a method is used to volatilize and remove the adhering solvent by blowing hot air onto the blanket surface, thereby restoring the blanket properties each time.

However, it is an extremely difficult task to give a mirror-like finish to a blanket with an even thickness, and since the blanket tends to swell due to the solvent as mentioned above during printing, it must be heated each time. It is necessary to volatilize and remove the adhering solvent, which is not desirable from the viewpoint of printing efficiency. Therefore, there has been a strong demand for the development of a blanket with excellent printing characteristics, which is a blanket with excellent thickness accuracy, a mirror-like surface, and does not require drying operations such as heating during printing.

In the blanket according to the present invention, the silicone resin applied to the printing surface increases resistance to ink solvents and improves ink releasability, so printing can be performed stably. Furthermore, since it is a disposable blanket that is replaced every time ink is transferred, the ink delivery is always stable, resulting in stable printing. Furthermore, by using a special jig or the like, replacement can be performed quickly, and printing efficiency is also improved.

Embodiment Next, an embodiment of the present invention will be described in more detail based on the drawings. Reference numeral 1 denotes a blanket according to the present invention in which silicone resin is coated on one side of a PET film having a thickness of, for example, 100 μm. It is used by wrapping it around the circumference. As is well known, resin films such as PET have traditionally been manufactured in large quantities at relatively low prices with extremely excellent thickness accuracy, so the thickness of the blanket 1 formed by applying silicone resin to one side of the film is The accuracy is also excellent. As a method for winding the blanket 1 having the above structure around the blanket cylinder 2, for example, the blanket 1 and the winding roll 3 are installed at approximately symmetrical positions with respect to the blanket cylinder 2, and the leading end of the blanket 1 is guided. By connecting to a take-up roll 3 via a roll 4 and rotating this roll, it is possible to freely and efficiently pull out and install a desired length. Blanket 1 to blanket body 2
As a method for reliably fixing it to the circumferential portion of the body, for example, there is a method using a fixing means 5 such as hydraulic pressure. Next, to explain the printing process performed using the blanket of the present invention, first, by rotating the take-up roll 3, a new portion of the blanket 1 is drawn out and wrapped around the circumference of the blanket cylinder 2, and the fixing means 5 to securely fix it. Then, the blanket cylinder 2 and, for example, a printing plate (not shown) in which the plate surface plate 61 side of the surface plate 6 provided so as to be horizontally movable faces each other, and the blanket 1 is fixed on the plate surface plate 61.
By bringing it into rotating contact with the blanket 1, the ink that has been supplied to the printing plate is received on the surface of the blanket 1. Next, the substrate surface plate 62 side of the surface plate 6 is made to face each other, and a substrate (not shown) such as a glass plate fixed thereon and the blanket 1
By synchronously bringing them into rotational contact, the ink that had been transferred onto the blanket 1 is transferred onto the substrate, and printing is completed. After that, the fixing means 5 is loosened, the take-up roll 3 is rotated, the blanket part to which the ink has been transferred is removed from the printing part, and the blanket 1 is placed in the printing part.
When the new portions of the blanket 1 are faced to each other and fixed again to the circumference of the blanket 1 by the fixing means 5, preparation for the next printing is completed. Note that the offset printing blanket of the present invention is not limited to the above embodiments, so blanket 1
As the resin film constituting the PE
In addition to T, commercially available plastic films such as PP1PE, PVC, nylon, and polyimide may also be used, and the thickness is not particularly limited as long as it can adhere to the circumference of the blanket body 2. Not, but 50
A resin film with a thickness of about 30 hm is easy to use. Further, silicone resin may be coated on both sides of such a resin film, and the form at the time of supply may be in the form of a cut sheet.

As explained above, the offset printing blanket of the present invention is a disposable type that is replaced every time ink is transferred, and the printing surface is coated with silicone resin, so the ink receiver is stable every time it is transferred. It will be done. For this reason, printing is not only carried out in good condition, but also replacement can be carried out quickly by using a special jig or the like, which improves printing efficiency. Therefore, it exhibits a remarkable effect when printing circuit boards, color filters, etc., and its industrial value is extremely large.
