In a wiper device in which a wiper shaft is assembled through a pivot cap that is fixed through a glass plate, a groove for attaching the pivot cap to the glass plate is formed on the outer periphery of the pivot cap inside a through hole drilled in the glass plate. It is formed by a groove bottom surface whose circumferential surfaces face each other, a collar piece that becomes larger in diameter on the indoor side of the groove bottom surface, and a lip piece that becomes larger in diameter on the outdoor side.
