Abstract

PURPOSE:To lead sludge in an upper tank easily into a low tank by guiding the sludge generated from cargo oil in the upper tank along its inclined bottom face so as to lead it into a well connected to the lowest level of the tank bottom face, and letting it fall from a valve provided at the bottom part of the well. CONSTITUTION:Each of plural cargo oil stowage inboard tanks disposed under an upper deck 6, in the state of being mutually partitioned by transverse bulkheads as well as partitioned by longitudinal bulkheads (a) so that both sides thereof are in contact with side tanks 3, 4 serving as both side water ballast tanks, is partitioned into an upper tank 1 and a lower tank 2 by a bulkhead 5. In this case, the bulkhead 5 is disposed in the inclined state so as to control a tank bottom face 1a inclined downward to the center from both sides of the upper tank 1. A sludge lead-in well 7 connected to the lowest level of the inclined tank bottom face 1a is extended in the ship length direction. A remote-operated valve 8 for communicating the well 7 with the lower tank 2 is further provided at the bottom part in the vicinity of the rear end of the well 7.

In the event that a hole is created in the bottom of the ship due to a tanker running aground, etc., in order to prevent cargo oil from flowing out from the ship's tank through the hole, it is necessary to divide the ship's tank into an upper tank and a lower tank with a bulkhead. Although it is said to be effective, it requires a lot of labor to treat the sludge, which is a mixture of crude oil residue, iron chains, etc. that accumulates at the bottom of the tank, for both the upper tank and the lower tank, which increases maintenance costs. There is a problem in that it invites

In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, the cargo oil spill prevention type tanker with a well for introducing sludge of the present invention is provided in a cargo oil spill prevention type tanker in which an inboard tank is partitioned into an upper tank and a lower tank by a partition wall. The bulkhead is arranged in an inclined manner to form a bottom surface of the tank that slopes downward from both sides of the tank toward the center, and a well for introducing sludge connected to the lowest level of the sloped bottom surface of the tank is connected to the bottom of the tank from both sides toward the center. The well is characterized in that a valve is provided at the bottom of the well to allow the well to communicate with the lower tank.

As shown in Figure 1.2, a plurality of lower decks 6 are partitioned on both sides by longitudinal bulkheads a so as to touch side tanks 3.4 serving as left and right water ballast tanks, and are also mutually partitioned by transverse bulkheads. The inboard tanks for cargo oil loading are each partitioned into an upper tank 1 and a lower tank 2 by a bulkhead 5.

The partition wall 5 is arranged in an inclined manner so as to form a tank bottom surface 1a that slopes downward from both sides of the upper tank 1 toward the center, thereby introducing sludge that connects to the lowest level of the sloped tank bottom surface 1a. The well 7 is connected to the partition wall 5.
It is provided so as to extend in the longitudinal direction.

With the above configuration, in the event that a hole is created in the bottom of the ship due to a grounding accident, an appropriate amount of cargo oil in the lower tank 2 can be transferred to the side tanks 3, 4, etc. by emergency means (not shown). As a result, a layer of seawater that has entered through the hole is formed at the bottom of the lower tank 2, thereby preventing cargo oil from flowing out. By the way, sludge generated from cargo oil in the upper tank 1 is guided along the sloping bottom surface 1a of the tank 1 and introduced into the well 7 connected to the lowest level of the tank bottom surface 1&.

Then, by opening the valve 8 provided at the bottom of the well 7, the sludge 11 in the well 7 falls into the lower tank 2 together with the cargo oil, and is collected together with the sludge in the lower tank 2 by means not shown. removed. Therefore, it is no longer necessary to separately perform the sludge removal work in the upper tank 1 and the lower tank 2, and normally it is sufficient to perform the sludge removal work only at the bottom of the lower tank 2.

In addition, if the stern part of the ship is slightly submerged by adjusting the ballast water, the sludge 11 in the well 7 of the upper tank 1 will be collected near the rear end of the well 7 and efficiently flow down from the valve 8 in the same part. Become.

As described above, in the cargo oil spill prevention type tanker with a well for introducing sludge according to this embodiment, the sludge in the upper tank 1 is guided along the sloping bottom surface of the tank 1 by 1 m, and is introduced into the well 7. Since the sludge can be dropped into the lower tank 2 through the valve 8, the work of removing sludge from the upper tank 1 can be omitted, which has the advantage of significantly reducing maintenance costs.
