As shown in FIG. 2(a), an interference film filter 20 is deposited on the end face of the optical fiber 10, and a deposited film 30b is always formed on the side surface of the tip. This is because when the interference film filter 20 is deposited, the optical fiber 10 must be made to slightly protrude from the jig 30 as shown in FIG. 2(b), otherwise when the optical fiber 10 is removed from the jig 30 This is because the interference film filter 20 may be damaged.

There is a problem that if the inner diameter of the optical fiber hole is 1 to 2 μm larger than the outer diameter of the optical fiber, there is a risk that the optical fiber cannot be inserted. Due to variations in the outer diameter of the tip, the gap between the small diameter hole in the capillary and the optical fiber becomes large, which tends to cause misalignment of the optical axis.
There are problems in that it takes a lot of adjustment man-hours and the connection loss of the optical fiber may increase.

Another object of the present invention is to provide an optical fiber tip structure that does not increase connection loss.

It may be formed to be thin.

It shows. The outer diameter B of the tip portion of the optical fiber 1 after vapor deposition is approximately 1 to 2 μm smaller than the outer diameter A of the other portions.

At this time, if the inner diameter of the small diameter hole provided in the capillary is slightly larger than the outer diameter A of the optical fiber 1, there is no problem with insertion, and the length of the part where the outer diameter is narrow is 0. Since the distance is about 5 mm, there is no problem with the optical axis misalignment within the capillary.
