形成された矩形嵌入孔の各コーナーのうち溶接部
に近い分は、溶接による強い引張方向残留応力を
生じることが多い。そして前記曲げ加工を容易に
行なうとコーナー部の曲率が極端に小さくなつて
更に応力集中を生じ易い。これら悪条件が重なつ
て亀裂発生に至ることが多かつた。一方、前記一
体成形品においては、この成形加工を実施し易く
するために極軟鋼、あるいはそれに近い鋼種を用
いることが多いため、本質的にかなり軟質であ
る。従つて爪の前記強大な繰返しトルクに基づく
応力が小面積の接触部に集中して嵌入孔の摩耗、
変形を生じ易く、装着した爪がガタついて来て爪
折損に至るトラブルが多かつた。
