Conventional paper threading devices for newspaper rotary presses are constructed by laying a flat belt in a loop shape along the most frequently used paper threading path (for example, for monochrome printing). The leading end of printing paper wound on a roll installed in the paper feed section is inserted into the slit section, and the paper is threaded by rotating the flat belt using a guide roller driven by a small motor or rotary press. The printing paper was passed through to a predetermined part of the path.

By the way, the paper threading path needs to be changed to the optimal path in response to changes in printing methods such as changing from monochrome printing to multicolor printing, changes in set pages, etc., but in the above-mentioned conventional technology, Only one paper threading route can be set for each paper feed section and one printing section, so when changing the paper threading route, it is necessary to thread the paper manually, which takes a lot of time and effort. It was necessary.
