[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Industrial Application Field] The present invention relates to a device used to house a printer connected to a computer and other various office printing devices, and to block out the noise produced during printing.

Printers, especially impact printers,
Makes a loud noise when printing. Therefore, the printer is housed in a box to muffle the noise, and various sound-muffling boxes for this purpose have been proposed or commercially available.

For example, the circumference plate and bottom plate of the box body are 20mm thick.
There is a box made of plywood with urethane foam pasted on its inner surface, but this has the disadvantage that the box itself is not only heavy but also large. When the box body becomes large,
Installation space for printers is an issue, and it is desired to make them as compact as possible. Furthermore, since the circumferential plate and bottom plate of the box body are quite thick, heat dissipation is poor, and heat tends to accumulate inside the box when the printer is operated for a long time. If too much heat builds up inside the box, it may adversely affect the printer.

In order to eliminate these drawbacks, the box body is made of corrugated paper, and the box body is made up of two side panels on the left and right, a back panel and a top panel that are connected in an L-shape on the sides, and a front panel. A face plate is connected to each other by a fixture to form an opening at the upper end from the front end of the top plate to the front plate, and a lid body made of corrugated paper is attached to the box body in order to open and close the opening. It has been proposed that the cover be pivoted to form a bottomless cover. (For example, see Utility Model Application Publication No. 160958/1983). Note that sound-absorbing materials are attached to the inner surfaces of the side panels, back panel, front panel, and lid.

Although this cover is superior to plywood covers in terms of weight and heat dissipation, it does not have a sufficient sound deadening effect because it does not have a bottom. Furthermore, the most inconvenient point is that a large number of parts divided into four or more parts must be assembled by connecting them to each other using a large number of fittings.

In the present invention, a box main body 1 having an opening at the upper end from near the rear end to the front end, and a lid body 2 that is pivotally supported by the box main body 1 and opens and closes the upper end opening are made of thick paper such as cardboard. The box main body 1 is divided into upper and lower halves consisting of an upper member and a lower member, and has a bottom plate 1f. The left and right side plates 1h, 1h of the upper member are attached to each other, and a sound insulating material made of foamed resin is attached to the inner surfaces of the box body 1 and the lid body 2.

The sound deadening box consists of a box body 1 and a lid 2 placed over the box body 1, and the lid 2 is pivotally attached to the box body 1 and can be opened and closed. The pivoting means in the embodiment includes a male screw 3 inserted from the outside into a hole 2a formed in the left and right side walls of the lid body 2, and a female screw 3 inserted from the inside into a hole 1a formed in the left and right side walls of the box body 1. The case where it is screwed into the threaded cylinder 4 is illustrated. It is preferable to attach eyelets 5, 5 to the holes 1a, 2a from the inside and outside, respectively, to reinforce the holes 1a, 2a. In addition, in FIG. 2, the pivoting means of the lid body 2 is shown only on the near side of the figure, and the opposite side is omitted.

The box body 1 is divided into upper and lower halves consisting of an upper member and a lower member, and has a bottom plate 1f. The left and right side plates 1 are connected to and stand up on both the left and right sides of the bottom plate 1f of the lower member.
On the outer surface of g, 1g, left and right side plates 1h of the upper member,
1h, join them together and assemble them into something with a bottom. The easiest way to connect the side plates 1g and 1h is to use an adhesive.

The box main body 1 in the embodiment is divided into upper and lower parts as described above, and on the front side, the folding piece 1b of the lower member (bottom plate side) is inserted into the left and right parts of the upper member.
While folding inside the flaps 1c and 1c,
Three fold-in flaps 1d of the upper member on the rear side
and the folding flap 1e of the lower member (bottom plate side) are assembled together, and the left and right side plates 1g, 1g of both the upper and lower members are assembled.
The combination of 1h and 1h is further combined to make it completely integrated. Further, the lid body 2 in the embodiment is made by folding one sheet of corrugated cardboard to form two layers, and reinforcing rods 6 having a U-shaped cross section are fitted into both front and rear end edges thereof. The center part of the lid body 2 is a transparent window plate 7 made of tempered glass or plastic.
is embedded. Through this transparent lid 7, the inside of the box body 1 and the printer housed therein can be seen through.

A sound insulating material made of foamed resin is attached to the inner surfaces of the box body 1 and the lid 2. Foamed polyethylene can be cited as an optimal sound insulation material made of foamable resin. In the embodiment, the inner surface of the upper wall of the box body 1 has a flap 1 as described above.
Sound insulating materials 8, 9, and 10 are directly attached to the outer surface of the folding piece 1b folded inside the box body 1 and the inner surface of the lid 2, respectively. On the other hand, the sound insulating material is not directly attached to the inner surfaces of the left and right side walls, the inner surface of the rear wall, and the upper surface of the bottom plate of the box body 1, but the side part 1 is made by attaching the sound insulating material to a base material formed separately from a corrugated cardboard material.
1. The rear part 12 and the bottom part 13 are fitted together. Although it may be applied directly as in the case of the sound insulating materials 8, 9, and 10, this method is more advantageous in terms of storage, transportation, and other aspects since the entire box body 1 can be disassembled.

Note that the side pads 11, rear pads 12, and bottom pads 13 are made of base materials 11a and 12 made of corrugated cardboard.
a, 13a, a sound insulating material 11b made of foamable resin,
It is preferable to make it by pasting 12b and 13b respectively. In this case, the side parts 11 can also be made by folding a rectangular part halfway to the outside to match the shape of the side wall of the box body 1, as shown in FIG.

In other drawings, reference numeral 14 denotes an opening for feeding and discharging print paper, and the print paper is fed and discharged from the opening 14 during printing by the printer housed in the box body 1. Note that the bottom pad 13 facing this opening 14 is partially cut out as shown at 13c in FIG.
