(従来の技術)
無蓋揺動バレルは側面に被処理物の投入、取出

ようにされている。従来はこのような無蓋揺動バ
レルを駆動するため、バレル揺動角度に対応する
角度範囲内だけに係合歯を設けた欠歯スプロケツ
トをバレル軸側に設け、これに噛み合うラツク等
を処理槽側に設けてこれを往復動させることによ
つて一定角度範囲内で揺動運動を行わせる装置が
用いられている。(例えば、実公昭60−32124号公
報)。ところが処理槽が長く、バレルが下降位置
にあるまま水平移動して次のステーシヨンに移動
する場合には、欠歯スプロケツトの最終歯は長い
ラツクの各歯と衝突しながら移動することとな
り、損傷し易いうえ騒音を発生する欠点があつ
た。またこの従来装置はラツクを強い力で往復動
させなければならず駆動機構が複雑化するうえ、
キヤリアが停止した状態でラツクを駆動するもの
であるからバレルの移動中には揺動を行わせるこ

とができる無蓋揺動バレルの駆動装置を目的とし

板15は一体化され、逆方向に爪クラツチ板18
が移動されたときには軸13と円板15とは切離

板15及びこの円板15にクラツチ14を介して
連結された軸13が揺動運動を行う構造となつて

する。これと同時にクランクレバー機構を構成す
るリンク25の作用によつて円板15が一定角度
範囲内で揺動運動を行い、クラツチ14が接続さ
れている平常状態においては回転軸13も揺動運
動を繰返して歯車12,11,10を介して無蓋
揺動バレル9の開口部8上向きにしたまま垂直面
内で一定角度範囲内の揺動を行わせることとな
る。このようなクランクレバー機構を利用した蓋
置においては、駆動チエーン26を一方向に連続
的に回転させておくだけで無蓋揺動バレル9に自
動的に一定角度範囲内の諒動運動を行わせること
ができる。従つて本発明においては従来のラツク
式のもののように駆動部に往復運動を行わせる必
要がなく、またキヤリア3が連続処理槽1bの内
部を昇降ハンガ5を下降させた状態のまま水平移
動する場合においてもスプロケツト22と駆動チ
エーン26とを噛合させた状態のままとしておく
ことができるので、従来の欠歯スプロケツト式の
もののように騒音を生じたり衝撃による破損を招
くこともない。しかも本発明のものは水平移動中
にも無蓋揺動バレル9の揺動運動を継続させるこ
とができるので、従来のように各停止ステーシヨ
ンでのみバレルの揺動を行わせるものに比較して
表面処理効果をより高めることができるものであ
る。なお第6図に示される被処理物の排出位置に
は第5図のように無蓋揺動バレル9の歯車10と
直接噛合する排出用歯車28が設けられてり、前
述したクラツチ14を切断して軸13を円板15
に対してフリーに回転できるようにしたうえで無
蓋揺動バレル9をその開口部8が下向きとなるま
で回転させて被処理物の排出ができるようにされ

ができるので、バレル槽の構造に応じて最適の揺
動角度を選択できる利点もある。よつて本明は従
来問題点を一掃した無蓋揺動バレルの駆動装置と
して、業界に寄与するところは極めて大きいもの
