【発明の詳細な説明】
(1) 発明の技術分野
本発明は電子写真方式を採用した多色記録装置
に関し、特にその現像装置の改良に関するもので

じて矢印Bのように光を照射して第1潜像を形成
するための第1露光装置3と、第1潜像を現像す
るための第1現像器4と、記録すべき像に応じて
矢印Cのように光を照射して第2潜像を形成する
ための第2露光装置5と、第2潜像を第1潜像と
は別の色で現像するための第2現像器6と、記録
ドラム1上に現像されたトナー像を記録紙11に
転写するための転写コロトロン7と、記録ドラム
1上の残留トナーを除電するための除電コロトロ
ン8と、残留トナーを除去するためのクリーナ9
と、記録ドラム1表面を除電するための除電ラン
プ10が配設される。静電潜像を現像するための
現像剤は一般に非磁性材料からなるトナーとこれ
を磁気ローラの作用により移送するための鉄粉等
からなるキヤリアとを混合した2成分現像剤が用
いられているが、2色記録装置の第2現像器の現
像剤は、キヤリアによる第1潜像上のトナー像の
破壊、トナーのかき落し、あるいはドラム上のト
ナーの第2現像器内への引き込み等を防止するた
めキヤリヤを含まない1成分磁性トナー現像剤を
用いる2色記録法を本発明者等は提案している。
しかしながら、このような1成分現像剤を用いた
現像装置においてもなお第2現像器の位置ずれ等
により起るトナーと記録ドラムとの接触深さの変
動や記録ドラムの表面電位、現像バイアス等の電
位変動により第1現像剤のトナーが第2現像器内
に混入する場合がある。また、第1の現像器の磁
気ローラと記録ドラムとの接触間隔の設定が不適
当であつた場合あるいは初期帯電電位が高過ぎた
場合等には第1現像器のキヤリアが記録ドラム上
に付着する。この記録ドラム上に付着したキヤリ
アは第2現像器の磁気ローラに吸引され第2現像
器側に転移し第2現像器の1成分現像剤中に混入
する。キヤリアは粒径100〜300μmの鉄粉であり、
第2現像器に混入すると、磁気ローラ外周のスリ
ーブとトナー層の厚さ設定用ドクターブレード間
の空〓(100〜150μm)に目詰りを起す。このよ
うな目詰りが起ると磁性トナーが均一に供給され
ず記録像に白抜け等が生じ良好な記録が行われな

ローラ表面から除去すべくそこに適用される塞ぎ
止め板とを具備してなることを特徴とする多色記
