When the load is low, such as when the car is empty, only the main spring 1 is acting, but when the load increases and reaches a certain load, the helper spring 2 comes into contact with the contact seat 4 of the helper spring bracket 3.
It has a so-called non-linear characteristic in which the main spring 1 and the helper spring 2 act simultaneously and the spring constant increases rapidly compared to when the load is low.

Although periodic lubrication is not difficult, the short intervals between lubrication are time-consuming and cumbersome, and it is possible to forget to lubricate, resulting in wear and tear on the contact sheet.

However, in this known technique, since a grease reservoir is simply provided, the grease is easily contaminated by mud splashes and rainwater, and the amount of grease is relatively small, requiring frequent supply of grease.

A grease reservoir having an upper opening is formed in the horizontal part, and the upper opening is closed with a lid through a packing, and the lid has a grease nipple and a grease nipple communicating the packing with the grease reservoir. A ventilation hole is provided, and a discharge hole is formed in the bottom of the grease reservoir and in the contact sheet to supply grease to the spring sliding surface where the leaf spring engages with the contact sheet.

At this time, the air in the grease reservoir is discharged from the ventilation hole, so the grease injection operation is performed smoothly. While the vehicle is running, the grease is gradually supplied to the spring sliding surface from the discharge port. Since a relatively large amount of grease can be filled into the grease reservoir, the interval between greasing can be extended, and wear and tear on the contact sheet can be minimized.

It is installed at 0.20. A grease reservoir 13 having an upper opening 14 for storing grease is formed in this horizontal portion 11, and the upper opening 14 is connected to a sheet metal cover 1 which is a lid through a packing 15.
It is sealed at 6. This cover 16 is provided with a grease nipple 17 and a vent hole 18 that communicate with the inside through a packing 15. A discharge hole 19 for supplying grease to the spring sliding surface A is provided in the bottom of the grease reservoir 13 and in the contact sheet 12. The diameter and number of the discharge holes 19 are appropriately determined depending on the amount of grease supplied.

Therefore, the interval between lubrication becomes longer, and it is possible to prevent the contact sheet from being worn out due to forgetting to lubricate. In addition, the packing 15 prevents the grease that has become loose due to the heat of sliding with the spring 2 from leaking out.
The ventilation hole 18 becomes the grease reservoir 1 when the grease decreases.
This prevents the inside of the grease from becoming negative pressure and prevents the grease from flowing down.
