2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, when recording with a video camera, for example, recording errors have often occurred due to erroneous operation of a recording operation switch. This problem is particularly common in types that lock the recording operation switch during recording, and an operation error such as unlocking the switch may result in recording unnecessarily by mistake.
This has resulted in an unnecessary shortening of the recording time on a recording medium such as a tape, and an increase in power consumption of a driving power source.

Therefore, in view of the above-mentioned drawbacks of the prior art, the present invention
An object of the present invention is to provide an erroneous recording prevention device that prevents recording errors and waste of power. The present invention achieves this object by providing a switch in the camera body that senses when a part of the operator's body approaches or is in contact with the operator, and in which this switch and a recording operation switch provided in the camera body are connected. The feature is that the camera performs recording operation when both are on.

In this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 1, a touch switch that operates when an operator is looking through the viewfinder of a video camera 1 is provided on an eye cap 2 attached to the viewfinder. That is, when the operator looks into the viewfinder during recording, the area around the eyes comes into contact with the eye cap 2, so the touch switch SW1 is provided in the eye cap 2 so as to be activated by this contact. In this embodiment, as the touch switch SW 1 , an eye cap 2 made of rubber or the like whose conductivity changes upon contact with the face or the like is used.
Note that the switch that changes the conductivity upon contact may be one that has been put into practical use in calculators, etc.
The structure is not limited to a switch whose conductivity changes upon contact as in this embodiment, but may also be constructed using, for example, a micro switch.

As shown in the circuit diagram of FIG. 2, the touch switch SW1 is connected to the internal power supply V CC via a resistor R O , and the other end is grounded. Further, a time constant circuit consisting of a resistor R 4 and a capacitor C 1 is connected to the touch switch SW 1 , and is connected to an AND circuit 6 via a knot circuit 5 . Therefore, when touch switch SW 1 is turned on for a certain period of time, the
As shown in FIG. 3, a touch signal V T with a reduced voltage is obtained in the input section, and an inverted touch signal T is input from the NOT circuit 5 to an AND circuit 6 as shown in FIG. 3C.

As shown in FIG. 3d, a recording signal V puT is output from the recording signal V puT, and the camera 1 is configured to perform a recording operation based on this recording signal V puT .

In this embodiment, the recording signal V puT is
The figure shows a case in which the touch signal T turns off after a time T M has elapsed, but this is caused by a time constant circuit consisting of a resistor R 1 and a capacitor C 1 provided on the touch switch SW 1 side. It is carried out with The reason for providing this time constant circuit is that so-called chattering, where the operator's face moves away from touch switch SW 1 during recording due to some reason unrelated to the operator's intention, can occur. This is to prevent the touch signal T from being interrupted. The time constant of this circuit may be selected to be large enough that the touch signal V T will not be interrupted even if the face is separated for several seconds (T M ). This time constant circuit is necessary when the touch switch SW1 is used as in this embodiment, but it can be omitted depending on the type of switch.

Further, in this embodiment, as shown by the broken line in FIG. 2, a release switch SW 2 is provided in parallel with the touch switch SW 1 described above. This is provided to release the touch switch SW 1 for preventing erroneous operation when the operator records a video without looking into the viewfinder, for example, when the subject is himself. As the release switch SW2 , a normal changeover switch may be attached to the camera body, or it may be provided on the insertion jack of the remote switch.

Therefore, in such a video camera, recording is not performed simply by turning on the recording operation switch at hand, but only when the operator's face is in contact with the touch switch and the operation switch is turned on. If the operator stops looking at the viewfinder after the video is recorded, the recording operation will automatically stop, thereby preventing the recording operation due to an operational error.

In the above embodiment, the case where the touch switch is attached to a video camera was explained as an example, but the application is not limited to a video camera, but can also be applied to an 8 mm camera, etc., and the operation switch can be locked, semi-locked, or non-locked. It can also be applied to lock type devices. Furthermore, the touch switch is not limited to a switch or micro switch that causes a change in conductivity upon contact, but other switches such as a temperature sensitive switch may also be used. Furthermore, in addition to a touch switch that is operated by face contact, a proximity switch that senses when a face approaches the camera body can also be used as the switch. Examples of this approach switch include the following.

) 顔の体温を感知して動作する感温センサ、 ) 顔表面や、鼻、口から放出される吐息中に

Further, the location where the touch switch and proximity switch are provided is not limited to the inside of the camera body's window viewr or the eye cap, but may be provided at an effective location on the camera body depending on the functions of the various switches, and is not particularly limited. . For example, in the case of a touch switch, it can be installed at a location where it is operated by touching the nose, and can be turned on and off by the nose. However, in the case of a humidity sensor, it is more effective to place it where the nose and mouth are located. Furthermore, in the above explanation, the case where the operator's face approaches or contacts is described, but this is not limited to this, and the structure may be configured to operate upon sensing that a part of the operator's body approaches or contacts. For example, if the camera body is very heavy, recording operations are generally performed while holding the grip with one hand and supporting the camera body with the other hand. The configuration may be configured to detect this.

As explained above, according to the present invention, a switch is provided on the camera body to detect when a part of the operator's body approaches or comes into contact with the operator, and only when this switch and the recording operation switch are both turned on. By adopting the configuration in which the recording operation is performed, the recording operation will not be performed even if the operation switch is turned on by mistake, so that recording mistakes can be prevented. the result,
There is no waste of power, tape, etc., and the recording time can be increased.
