However, since the diameters of both inlet holes 4 and 5 of the valve body are increased in order to increase the discharge amount of hot water, the shape of the rack is restricted and the rack cannot be made larger. Therefore, the cross-sectional area of the teeth of the rack becomes small and a high load is placed on the rack. Therefore, if the rack is made of resin as in the prior art, the rack will be damaged due to its low material strength, and the valve body will not operate when the handle is operated, causing the problem that it will no longer function as a mixing faucet. Therefore, in the present invention, the main part of the valve body is made of synthetic resin and the rack part is made of metal to prevent damage to the rack part and solve the above problems. The formed main body part and the rack part are strongly and reliably connected, and the main body part and the rack part, which are made of materials with different coefficients of thermal expansion and water absorption expansion, are designed to prevent water leakage even when deformed due to expansion or contraction. The purpose is to prevent valve function from being impaired.

The height from the inner bottom surface of the plate 15 to the lower surface of the presser piece 32 is as shown in FIG.
The height H to the outer bottom surface of the plate 15 is set somewhat lower than the height H to the outer bottom surface of the main body 13 as shown in FIG.
When inserted, the holding piece 32 is pushed upward somewhat and comes into contact with the upper surface of the rack member 14, so that the downward return elastic force of the holding piece 32 presses the rack member 14 toward the main body 13. It's getting old. Reference numerals 33 and 34 indicate horizontal movement regulating pieces protruding from the left and right ends of the plate 15. Before the insertion operation, one piece 33 is extended horizontally to form a bending V-groove 35 at its base. The other piece 34 is erected.

By assembling as above, the easy member 1
4 is prevented from moving in the front, rear, right and left directions by the peripheral wall of the fitting recessed member 16. Also, both presser pieces 32, 3
The rack member 14 is pressed by the elastic pressing force No. 2, and the rack member 14 is prevented from wobbling in the front and back directions, and at the same time, the contact surface between the outer bottom surface of the rack member 14 and the inner bottom surface of the fitting recess of the main body portion 13 is The contact friction force becomes stronger, and rattling of the rack member 14 in the front-rear direction and left-right direction is also prevented.

Furthermore, since the presser piece 32 has elasticity,
Insertion and assembly is possible even if there are variations in the dimensions of the members, and the rack member 14 can be held without looseness even when the main body portion 13 expands or contracts. Furthermore, during use, when the valve body is immersed in a liquid such as hot water, the main body part 13 made of resin swells and expands in volume. The sealing surface of the plate 15 is prevented from being deformed. That is, if the gap D does not exist, the expansion of the main body portion 13 will force the front and rear portions of the plate 15 (the left and right portions in FIG. 3) downwardly, deforming the sealing surface on the lower surface, and causing a seal failure. Water leaks, but
This can be prevented by providing the gap D. Furthermore, in order to fit the rack member 14 into the fitting recess 16 as described above, a certain amount of clearance is required between them, but as the main body portion 13 expands as described above during use, the clearance is reduced. This eliminates the rattling of the rack member 14.

5 to 7 show a second embodiment of the present invention, in which the pinion contact surface of the engaging portion 24 of the rack member 14 is made of synthetic resin. That is, a bushing fitting recess 24a is formed in the engaging portion 24 and is open on the upper and inner sides, and a synthetic resin bushing 24b is fitted into the recess 24a. In addition, engagement grooves 24c are provided at the left and right ends of the bushing fitting recess 24a and the bushing 24b, respectively.
and an engaging protrusion 24d are formed, and these fittings prevent the bush 24b from coming off inward. In this device, the rear surface of the metal pinion meshed with the rack 23 slides in contact with the synthetic resin bush 24b, so the sliding wear of this contact portion is less than in the case of mutual contact between metals. Therefore, the looseness of the valve body due to wear is reduced, which prevents water leakage and deterioration of the feeling when operating the handle.

To attach the pinion 44, first, the pinion 44 is positioned with respect to the outer periphery of the pinion attachment part 41 so that the protrusion 46 matches the split groove 43, and then the pinion 44 is inserted. Next, the mounting screw 47 is screwed into the female threaded portion 49 of the shaft portion. As a result, the tapered surface 48 formed on the head part opens the pinion mounting part 41, and the pinion mounting part 41 is bent and press-contacted to the tapered surface formed in the mounting hole 45 of the pinion 44. Therefore, the pinion 44 is connected to the operating shaft 39.
The pinion 44 is integrally connected to the pinion 44 without coming off or coming loose, and the torque from the operating shaft 39 is reliably transmitted to the pinion 44.

C. Effects of the invention As described above, in the present invention, the rack part is formed of a metal material, so the rack has higher strength and less damage than conventional resin, so the rack can be made smaller and the diameter of the inflow hole can be reduced. By increasing the size, the discharge amount can be increased, and the durability of the mixing faucet can be improved. Moreover, if the main body part of the valve body is made of synthetic resin and the rack part is made of metal, and they are formed separately,
Water leakage due to rattling due to assembly and deformation of dissimilar materials is a problem, but according to the present invention, the aforementioned rattling and water leakage can be prevented from the following points. That is, the rack member 14 is fitted into the fitting recess 16 formed in the main body portion 13, thereby restricting its movement in the front-back and left-right directions. The rack member 14 also has a plate 15.
Since it is elastically pressed by the holding piece 32 integrally formed with the main body 13, the rack member 14 is prevented from coming off upward, and the rack member 14 can be pressed and held against the main body 13 even if the parts vary, expand, or contract. , to prevent water leakage due to rattling. Furthermore, since the gap D is formed between the rack member 14 and the main body part 13, when the main body part 13 made of synthetic resin expands, the expansion is absorbed by the gap D, and the plate 15 forming the sealing surface is not deformed. . Therefore, water leakage due to deformation of the sealing surface can be prevented.
