BACKGROUND ART Recently, in automobiles, switches that turn on and blink turn signal lights to instruct left or right turns have been installed in places other than the steering column, such as on instrument panels. In such cases, when the steering wheel is returned to its original position after the direction change, the direction of rotation is detected and the turn signal lights are turned off.
Therefore, various rotational direction detection sensors have been proposed in the past. For example, a movable member that rotates together with a rotating body, a driven member that rotates with a certain angle delay in the same direction as the rotational direction of the movable member, and a fixed member that is always stationary regardless of rotation of the rotating body, and the movable member and The driven member is provided with connection contacts having different intervals in the rotational direction due to the fixed angle delay, and the fixed member is provided with a group of contacts that selectively contact the connection contacts depending on the rotational direction of the rotating body. A detection sensor has been proposed (Utility Model Application Publication 1996-19968).

However, with the conventional rotation direction detection sensor described above,
Since the movable contacts provided on the movable member and the driven member are always in a sliding state as the steering wheel rotates, connection failures are likely to occur, resulting in reliability problems. Furthermore, since there are four contact points between the input and output, the contact resistance of the contacts between the input and output becomes large, which sometimes poses a problem in terms of durability. Also, since the movable contact moves around the entire circumference, space is required in the diametrical direction.
There was a problem with the large size.

When rotated to the right, the rotating member 3 rotates in the direction of arrow E as shown in FIG. 5, and one end surface of the recess 3h abuts the pin portion 5f of the driven member 5. Then, the driven member 5 rotates in the direction of the arrow E with a delay of an angle D relative to the rotating member 3. In this case, the recesses 5d and 5e of the driven member 5 are positioned behind the recesses 3f and 3g of the rotating member 3 by an angle D, respectively. When the rotating member 3 is rotated to a position where the recess 3f faces the protrusion 25b of the slide member 25, the protrusion 25b enters the recess 3f and is pressed into contact with the recess 3f. When the steering wheel 13 is rotated to the left in this state, the rotating member 13 is rotated as shown in FIG.
rotates in the direction of arrow F, and the other end surface of the recessed portion 3h comes into contact with the pin portion 5f of the driven member 5. Then, the driven member 5 rotates in the direction of the arrow F with a delay of an angle D relative to the rotating member 3. In this case, the recesses 5d and 3g of the driven member 5 correspond to the recesses 3f and 3g of the rotating member 3, respectively.
5e are respectively arranged at positions delayed by an angle D. When the rotating member 3 is rotated to a position where the recess 3f faces the protrusion 25b of the slide member 25, the protrusion 25b enters the recess 3f and is pressed into contact with the recess 3f. At the same time, the recess 5d of the driven member 5 comes to face the protrusion 19b of the contact holder 19, and the protrusion 19b projects into the recess 5d and is pressed into contact with the recess 5d. On the other hand, the protruding portion 18b of the contact holder 18 is pressed against the maximum diameter portion of the driven member 5. Therefore, in the section where the protrusion 19b of the contact holder 19 is pressed against the recess 5d, only the left contact 1aL of the rotation direction detection sensor 1 is turned on.

In this case, the turn switch 32 is connected to the left contact 35.
Since the power is turned on and the right contact 1aR is turned off, the power source 41 is not supplied to the rotational direction detection sensor 1.

When the steering wheel 13 is further rotated to the left from the state shown in FIG. 7, and the rotating member 3 and the driven member 5 are rotated in the direction of arrow F, the protrusion 19 of the contact holder 19 as shown in FIG.
b is the slide member 25 at the maximum diameter part of the driven member 5.
The projections 25b are pressed against the maximum diameter portion of the disc portion 3d of the rotating member 3, respectively. Further, the protrusion 18b of the contact holder 18 comes to face the recess 5d of the driven member 5, but the shoulder 18a is in contact with the flange 25a of the slide member 25, preventing it from entering the recess 5d. ing. Therefore, in the state shown in FIG. 8, the left and right contacts 1aL and 1aR of the rotational direction detection sensor 1 are both OFF.

After completing the left direction change, turn the steering wheel 1
3 in the right direction, only the right contact 1aR becomes ON for a certain period of time, as explained in FIG. At the same time, the power supply 41 passes through the left contact 35 and the right contact 1aR, is supplied to the solenoid drive circuit 36, and is supplied to the flasher circuit 38 as in the case of clockwise rotation.
The power supply 41 is cut off and the left indicator light 40 is turned off.

As mentioned above, according to the present invention, the direction of rotation can be detected simply by sliding the contact holders of the pair of switch means in the axial direction, so that there are very few sliding parts and a good connection is always maintained. Reliability is improved, and the space in the diametrical direction can be reduced, making it possible to make the device compact. Furthermore, since the contacts between the input and output are configured as two-point contacts, contact resistance is reduced and durability is improved.
