Conventionally, multi-pole connectors used in electronic equipment have become widely used as electronic equipment has developed, and the interface between data line termination equipment and data terminal equipment is based on JIS-C, 6361, 6366, 6367
The shape of the connector,
Although dimensions and pin numbers are specified, there are no specific regulations regarding the connection part with the cord, and the connection between the connecting pin and the cord is at the terminal of the cord.
The sheath is peeled off to a predetermined length to expose the cord core, the insulation of the cord core is peeled off to expose the cord conductor, and the cord conductor and pins are successively connected by crimping or soldering, and then the insulation is removed. A multi-polar connector has been manufactured by covering the sheath-removed portion of the cord with tape and shielding metal tape, and then attaching or molding the outer shell made of synthetic resin so as to be integrated with the synthetic resin.

As mentioned above, in the manufacturing process of multi-pole connectors, the cord and connector pins are connected by crimping or soldering one cord conductor to each pin, so the more pins the connector has, the more time it takes. , crimping or solder connection is incomplete,
There is a risk that the cord conductor may come into contact with an adjacent pin or be incorrectly wired, resulting in a defective product during the post-assembly inspection process.Additionally, there is a growing demand for countermeasures against radiated noise, and metal shielding tape is wrapped around the cord conductor. However, since it is cumbersome, a metal hood is used to cover the sheathed parts of the pin and cord, and then a synthetic resin outer shell is applied. It was a time-consuming job, as it required a lot of maintenance.

In order to achieve the above object, the present invention provides a method for connecting a cord conductor to a pin, which requires the most effort, by covering the cord conductor with an insulator.
In addition, the connections are made by arranging the cord cores and pins in the order of connection, fixing the portions to be connected to the pins, and connecting each cord core and each pin at the same time. In other words, the shape, dimensions, pin arrangement, etc. of multi-pole connectors used for interfaces are generally standardized, but the connecting end of the metal pin to the cord is smaller than the diameter of the cord core. , and have a pointed shape like an arrowhead, and poke the insulator with the tip of the pin so that the center line of the pin and the center line of the cord core are at right angles to the insulator of the cord core made of synthetic resin that covers the cord conductor. Break the wires and connect them to the pins and the cord conductor. When making the connection, arrange the cord wires in parallel in the order in which they are connected to the pins and fix them in advance so that the connecting parts do not move.Make sure that the diameter of the cord wire cores is equal to the spacing between the pins of the connector. The purpose can be achieved by fixing the wires in the order of connection using adhesive tape, connecting the pins and the conductors of the cord core at the same time, and then crimping and fixing the cord core to the block using a presser plate.

First, the parts of the connector 1 used in the present invention are as shown in FIGS. 2 and 4. The female or male pins 3 are made of polyamide at a predetermined interval according to the Japanese Industrial Standards. It is fixed to a block 4 made of resin or the like so that its tips protrude from both sides of the block 4, and the surface of the block 4 excluding the surfaces from which both ends of the pin 3 protrude is covered by a shell 5 formed from a metal plate.

The tip of the pin 3 on the side where the cord conductor 10 of the cord core 9 is connected is smaller than the diameter of the cord core, as shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, and is tapered or Y-shaped like the tip of an arrowhead. It is sharpened and formed so that its tip can break through the insulator made of vinyl chloride or the like of the cord core 9. Next, the metal hood 6 is divided into upper and lower parts as shown in FIG.
is molded from a metal plate so that it can be engaged with the shell 5 and wrap the sheath peeling portion of the cord 2, as shown in FIG.

Assembling the connector using the connector parts as described above, first, as shown in Figure 3, the cord 2 is made by peeling off a predetermined length of the sheath, shielding foil, wire mesh, etc., and exposing the cord wire core. 9 are fixed in parallel in a predetermined order using adhesive tape 11 or the like so that the ends of the cord cores 9 form a straight line. In this case, the cord cores 9 may be arranged in order and fixed with an adhesive tape 11 or the like, and then the ends may be trimmed to form straight lines, or an adhesive may be used instead of the adhesive tape 11. Since the cord conductor 10 is exposed on the end face of the cord wire core 9, it is preferable to apply an insulating synthetic resin dissolved in a solvent or to cover it with the adhesive tape.

[Effects of the Invention] Since the present invention is configured and assembled as described above, the sheath of the cord 2 is peeled off as in the conventional method, and the insulator at the tip of the cord wire core 9 is peeled off to a required dimension to expose the cord conductor. There is no need to connect the pin 3 of the connector 1 to the pin 3 of the connector 1, and it is necessary to perform soldering or crimping one by one. There is no fear of contact, and
Since the cord core 9 is fixed to the block 4 with the presser 8, there is no fear that the cord core 9 will come off from the pin 3 even if the cord 2 is accidentally pulled during work. The exposed cord core 9 and the connecting part with the pin 3 are completely covered and shielded, so there is no need to wrap them with shield tape as in the conventional case, and the work is extremely simple. 5 and the cord 2, it has the effect of being easily coated with vinyl chloride or the like in a molding machine in the subsequent process, and it is possible to assemble a safe multi-pole connector with good shielding effect. be.
