[Technical Field of the Invention] The present invention relates to improvements in continuous molten metal thermometers. [Technical Background of the Invention] A conventional molten metal continuous thermometer will be explained with reference to FIG. In Figure 3, protection tube 1 made of alumina graphite
A porcelain tube 2 made of alumina is installed inside. These are integrally molded or graphite mortar is filled between them. Moreover, a metal fitting 3 is attached to the upper part of these. A vertical connecting pipe 4, an elbow pipe 5, and a horizontal connecting pipe 6 are sequentially connected to this hardware 3, and a terminal portion 7 is further fixed to the connecting pipe 6. Further, the porcelain tube 2
For example, a temperature measuring end of a platinum-platinum-rhodium thermocouple 8 is inserted therein, and the constant temperature end of this thermocouple 8 is connected to the terminal portion 7 through the inside of the connecting pipe 4 and the like. Using the molten metal continuous thermometer mentioned above, the temperature of the molten metal can be continuously measured by dipping the tip of the protective tube 1 into the molten metal and measuring the thermoelectromotive force with a potentiometer, or by recording it with a recorder. Measure the temperature. [Problems in the Background Art] However, in the conventional continuous molten metal thermometer described above, CO gas is generated from the alumina-graphite protective tube 1 or graphite mortar during temperature measurement and diffuses inside the porcelain tube 2. This accelerates the deterioration of the thermocouple 8. When the thermocouple 8 deteriorates in this way, the thermoelectromotive force decreases, making accurate temperature measurement impossible, and eventually causing disconnection. [Object of the Invention] The present invention has been made in order to eliminate the above-mentioned drawbacks, and aims to provide a continuous molten metal temperature meter capable of long-term temperature measurement by preventing deterioration of the thermocouple. be. [Summary of the Invention] The molten metal continuous thermometer of the present invention comprises a protection tube, a first porcelain tube housed in the protection tube, and a second porcelain tube housed in the first porcelain tube. , comprising a thermocouple inserted into the second porcelain tube and a gas supply device connected to the second porcelain tube, wherein the gas supplied from the gas supply device is supplied into the second porcelain tube. The thermocouple is characterized by flowing toward the tip of the thermocouple and flowing in the opposite direction between the first porcelain tube and the second porcelain tube. In the present invention, air, nitrogen, argon, or the like is used as the gas supplied from the gas supply device. The supply of these gases may be intermittent or continuous. According to the molten metal continuous thermometer of the present invention, the atmosphere around the thermocouple can be replaced with gas supplied from the gas supply device, and CO gas generated from the protective tube or mortar can be blocked from the thermocouple. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the thermocouple from deteriorating and measure temperature over a long period of time. [Embodiments of the Invention] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. In Figure 1, alumina-graphite protection tube 1
A first porcelain tube 12 made of alumina is placed inside the tube 1, and a second porcelain tube 13 made of alumina is placed inside the first porcelain tube 12. The protection tube 1
1 and the first porcelain tube 12 are integrally molded, or graphite-based mortar is filled between them.
Further, a metal fitting 14 is attached to the upper part of these. A vertical connecting pipe 15, an elbow pipe 16, and a horizontal connecting pipe 17 are sequentially connected to this hardware 14, and a terminal portion 18 is fixed to the connecting pipe 17. Further, a temperature measuring end of, for example, a platinum-platinum-rhodium thermocouple 19 is inserted into the second porcelain tube 13, and the constant temperature end of this thermocouple 19 passes through the inside of the connecting pipe 15 and the like to the terminal section. 18
It is connected to the. Further, a gas supply pipe 20 is connected to the upper end of the second porcelain tube 13, and a flowmeter 21, a regulator 22, and a compressor or gas cylinder 23 are connected in this order to the gas supply pipe 20. Also,
A gas vent hole 24 is provided in the middle of the first porcelain tube 12 and the metal fitting 14. In the molten metal continuous thermometer, the gas supplied from the gas supply pipe 20 flows from the upper end to the lower end of the second porcelain tube 13, replaces the gas around the thermocouple 19, 13 and the first porcelain tube 12 and is discharged to the outside from the gas vent hole 24. By replacing the gas around the thermocouple 19 in this manner, deterioration of the thermocouple 19 can be further prevented. Actually, the molten metal continuous thermometer shown in Figure 1 (Example 1) and the conventional molten metal continuous thermometer shown in Figure 3 (Comparative example) were installed in a 60-ton tundish to measure the temperature of molten steel. When we investigated the time that could be measured, we obtained the results shown in the table below. However, the continuous molten metal thermometer of Example 1 was used by introducing air into the second porcelain tube at 5 minute intervals.

[Table] As is clear from the above table, compared to the conventional continuous molten metal thermometer, Example 1 was able to secure about 8 times the lifespan. In addition, when adjusting the atmosphere inside the second porcelain tube as in the molten metal continuous thermometer shown in Figure 1, the gas in the cooling box installed for the purpose of preventing heating of the terminal part may be used. . A continuous molten metal thermometer having such a configuration will be explained with reference to FIG. 2. In Fig. 2, alumina-graphite protective tube 3
A first porcelain tube 32 made of alumina is placed inside the tube 1, and a second porcelain tube 33 made of alumina is placed inside the first porcelain tube 32. Further, a metal fitting 34 is attached to the upper part of these, and a vertical connecting pipe 35, a cooling box 36, a horizontal connecting pipe 37, and a connector 38 are sequentially connected to this metal fitting 34, and a cooling gas is connected to this connector 38. Supply port 39
is installed. In addition, the cooling box 3
6 is provided with a terminal 40, to which a constant temperature end of a thermocouple 41 inserted into the second porcelain tube 33 is connected. Further, the cooling box 36 is provided with a cooling gas exhaust hole 42, and the metal fitting 34 and the connecting pipe 35 are provided with gas vent holes 43 and 44, respectively. In the molten metal continuous thermometer shown in FIG. The atmospheric gas within the tube 33 can be adjusted. [Effects of the Invention] As detailed above, the continuous molten metal thermometer of the present invention has remarkable effects such as being able to measure the temperature of molten metal over a long period of time by preventing deterioration of the thermocouple. It is something.
