[Detailed Description of the Invention] (Field of Industrial Application) The present invention mainly relates to an improvement of a helmet worn when riding a two-wheeled vehicle such as a bicycle.

(Prior Art) Conventionally, bicycle helmets have a highly rigid dome-shaped outer shell with an opening at the bottom for covering the head, and a shock-absorbing liner that fits inside the shell. It is known that a pad that conforms to the wearer's head and absorbs shock is attached continuously or intermittently to the inner surface of the liner.

(Problem that the invention attempts to solve) However, with the conventional helmet as described above,
The pad attached to the periphery of the lower opening side of the inner surface of the liner has a simple rectangular cross section,
When worn, it gets caught on the wearer's head, etc., so it cannot be worn smoothly. On the other hand, if the pads are made thinner or softer, there is a drawback that they may easily fall off even though they may be worn smoothly. Therefore, the pad is required to have an appropriate thickness and hardness so that it does not interfere with wearing and can prevent it from falling off, but it is not easy to manufacture such a pad. Furthermore, since the inner diameter of conventional helmets equipped with pads is approximately constant, there is a problem in that helmets must be made to fit the head sizes of various wearers.

(Means for Solving the Problems) In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the present invention adds a liner 2 to the inside of a dome-shaped outer shell 1 that has an opening at the bottom for covering the head, In this helmet, a plurality of pads 4 are provided at intervals on the periphery of the inner surface of the liner 2 on the opening side. An elastic plate is made to protrude toward the center of the opening in the pad 4 to form a bulge 4b having a mountain-shaped longitudinal section and a space on the side facing the liner 2, and this bulge 4b
The upper wall portion 4c is formed in a wavy shape from the top side toward the base side, and the lower wall portion 4d
is formed in an upwardly sloping shape from the base side toward the top side.

(Function) When the wearer puts on the helmet, the wearer's temporal region comes into contact with the bulge 4b of the pad 4 provided on the inner surface of the helmet's liner 2 on the side of the opening for wearing. When the helmet is worn more deeply, the bulge 4b is pressed by the wearer's temporal region. At this time, the upper side wall part 4c of the bulge part 4b is formed in a wave shape from the top side to the base part side and is elastically contracted well and easily, and the lower side wall part 4d of the bulge part 4b is formed in a wavy shape from the top side to the base part side. Since it is sloped upward from the side to the top side, the helmet can be worn smoothly. In addition, after wearing the helmet, the bulge 4 of the pad 4
The helmet is effectively prevented from falling off the wearer's head by the elastic restoring force of b and the frictional force between the wavy upper side wall 4c of the bulge 4b and the wearer's head.

The outer shell 1 is made of a hard synthetic resin such as plastic and is formed into a dome shape, and has an opening at the bottom for covering the head. A shock-absorbing liner 2 made of foam such as styrofoam and having substantially the same shape as the outer shell 1 is fitted onto the inner surface of the outer shell 1. In this embodiment, a plurality of ventilation holes 7 are provided on the side and top surfaces of the outer shell 1, and the liner 2 also has holes corresponding to the ventilation holes 7 of the outer shell 1. Although the ventilation holes 8 are provided at the positions where the ventilation holes 8 are provided, it is needless to say that the ventilation holes 7 and 8 are not limited to those formed therein. In the figures, the symbol A indicates the front side of the helmet, and the symbol B indicates the rear side.

A plurality of independent pads 3 and 4 are attached to the inner surface of the liner 2 at intervals. The pad 3 provided on the top side of the liner 2 is made of an airtight and elastic synthetic resin elastic board such as a polyurethane sheet, and as shown in FIG. at least one bulge is formed;
The peripheral edge portion 3a is adhered to the inner surface of the liner 2 with an adhesive or the like.

The pad 4 provided on the peripheral edge of the opening side of the liner 2 is made of the same material as the pad 3, and as shown in FIG. The bulging part 4b has an elastic plate material constituting the pad 4 that protrudes toward the center of the opening, and has a vertical cross section with a space on the side facing the liner 2. It is formed in the shape of a mountain.
Further, as shown in FIG. 6, the upper side wall 4c of the bulge 4b is formed in a wavy shape from the top side to the base side, and the lower side wall 4d of the bulge 4b is formed in a wave shape from the base side to the top side. It is formed into an upwardly sloping flat plate. It goes without saying that the shape of the pad 4 is not limited to that shown in the drawings. In FIG. 6, reference numeral 4e indicates an air hole, which is provided at an arbitrary position of the bulge 4b.

What is shown in FIG. 5 is the swollen portion 4 of the pad 4.
The core body 5 enclosed in the liner b is made of an elastic material such as sponge, and is adhered to the inner surface of the liner 2 with an adhesive as shown in FIG. Note that this core body 5 does not need to be adhered to the liner 2, and the core body 5 does not need to be bonded to the liner 2.
It may be adhered to the inner surface of b. Here, the core body 5 is not essential in the present invention and can be omitted.

FIG. 7 shows another embodiment of the present invention, in which a substrate 6 made of the same material as that of the pad 4 or other synthetic resin material is adhered to the back surface of the pad 4 with an adhesive. It shows what is adhered to the inner surface of the liner 2 with an adhesive. By attaching the substrate 6 to the back surface of the pad 4 in advance in this way, attachment to the liner 2 is extremely easy and convenient.

(Effect of the invention) According to the invention, when the wearer puts on the helmet, the wearer's temporal region comes into contact with the pad 4 attached to the opening side periphery of the inner surface of the liner 2. The upper side wall portion 4c of the bulging portion 4b is wave-like from the top side toward the base side, which facilitates contraction, and the lower side wall portion 4d is sloped upward from the base side toward the top side. Therefore, the wearer can smoothly put on the helmet. After wearing, the helmet is effectively prevented from falling off due to an increase in the frictional force between the wavy upper side wall 4c of the bulge 4b and the head, and an increase in elastic force proportional to the increase in deformation of the bulge 4b. It can be prevented. or,
Since the amount of deformation of the bulging portion 4b can be large, it can be adapted to heads of various sizes of the wearer, and since it is versatile, there is an advantage that helmets of various sizes do not need to be prepared.
