Abstract

PURPOSE:To hold an external line with respect to an incoming call from the external line even when plural extensions are busy by applying connection / disconnection processing to other extensions than an extension making holding and bringing the extension making the holding and an external line in the holding state. CONSTITUTION:When plural extensions (A-G) are busy with respect to an incoming call from an external line, a central processing unit (CP) monitors holding information from all the busy extensions (A-G). When the extension A makes holding and the CPU receives the holding information from the extension A, the CP make restoration processing forcibly to the extensions (B-G), interrupts channels and connects the line to a trunk sending a busy tone representing the end of talking and sends a busy tone to the extensions (B-G).
