Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate engraving and textile printing and to enhance fastness after textile printing by transferring toner on a releasing agent coating sheet to a fibrous structural substance and dissolving resin component with a fixing processing agent. CONSTITUTION:First, the releasing agent coating sheet is set on the paper supply part of a color copying machine and a pattern which is the mirror image of an original picture is formed by fixing the toner on the sheet, so that a transfer paper is obtained. Next, a thin cloth product where textile printing is executed is prepared and set in a hot press machine after the fixing processing agent is uniformly sprayed to a transfer section to such an extent that it permeates through. The transfer paper is set on a textile printing part so that the textile printing may be performed by executing press-heating. The transfer paper is peeled off from the cloth product immediately after pressing and a releasing paper is placed on the textile printing part to be press-heated again, then the pattern same as the original picture is formed on the cloth product.

Textile printing techniques are used to form complex patterns on such cloth products. Among these printing technologies, when used industrially, mechanical transfer printing is often used because it is profitable even with a relatively small printing lot. That's over 1,000 pieces. In addition, it requires expensive and large-scale equipment, and requires skill in printing. In addition, in paper pattern printing, etc., where printing is done by hand,
Printing in small quantities is profitable, but the work requires skill and the resulting products are expensive. In view of these problems in textile printing technology, conventional electrostatic copying printing methods are used to form patterns by placing toner on release paper coated with hot melt as a binder, and then transfer the toner that makes up the pattern together with the hot melt to fabrics. A method was proposed in which the image was transferred to a paper, heat-pressed, and then printed. However, in fabric products printed using this printing method, the toner adheres only to the surface of the fabric, resulting in low fastness. In particular, when ironing, the hot melt melts and the hot melt and toner adhere to the iron. Also, the fabric is hardened by the hot melt process.

That is, the toner is made to form a copy pattern or characters on the release agent coated sheet by electrostatic printing method,
This copied pattern or characters are transferred onto the fiber structure, and the fixing agent is used to dissolve the resin attached to the toner, allowing the toner and resin to penetrate into the fibers, and while applying pressure and heat to vaporize the volatile components. By adopting a method of fixing the toner by welding resin to the fibers, it is easy to make plates with simple equipment and requires no skill, and is profitable even with a small loft. After printing, the dyed pattern or letters are durable. To provide a printing method that allows cloth products to be ironed without losing their original texture.

Example (1) First, a release agent coated sheet (described later) is set in the paper feed section of a color copier, an original is set in a predetermined position, and an inverted copy is performed to place the toner on the release agent coated sheet. A pattern is created that is a mirror image of the original image, and a transfer paper is obtained. At this time, the resin contained in the toner is fused to the sheet surface due to the heat generated by the copy machine, and the toner is also fixed. However, since the sheet surface is coated with a release agent, the resin and toner are Easily peels off. Here, a thin fabric (100% polyester fabric) to be printed is prepared, a fixing agent is sprayed onto the fabric to evenly permeate the transfer area, and the fabric is set in a hot press. A transfer paper is installed in the printing section, and printing is performed by applying pressure and heat using a hot press machine. It shall be pressed strongly for 5 to 8 seconds at a temperature of around 160°C. Immediately after pressing, peel off the transfer paper from the fabric product, place release paper (silicon paper) on the printing area,
Pressure heat again. At this time, at a temperature of around 160℃
It shall be pressed for 5 seconds. The printing process is now complete, and the same pattern as the original image is created on the fabric.

Example (2) A release agent coating sheet, which will be described later, is set in the paper feed section of a color copying machine, and a transfer paper is obtained in the same manner as in Example (1). Prepare a thick cloth product (100% cotton fabric) to be printed, set it in a hot press machine, place transfer paper in the printing section, apply pressure heat, and perform transfer printing. Press strongly for 8 to 10 seconds at a temperature of around 160°C. After pressing, let it cool for a few seconds, then peel off the transfer paper from the fabric, and spray the fixing agent evenly over the transfer area.
Place release paper on the transfer area, apply pressure again, and dye. It shall be pressed for about 3 seconds at a temperature of around 160°C. If necessary, good printing can be obtained by repeating the process of spraying the fixing agent, placing it on a release paper, and pressing and heating it.

According to Example (2), the toner retention agent layer of the coverage coat coating layer provided on the release agent coating sheet retains the toner well during copying and retains the toner during transfer printing. By peeling it off from the release paper and adhering to the surface of the fabric product, it can be printed and dyed well even on fabric products with uneven surfaces, and can also act as a binder to improve dyeing fastness. Also, when spraying the fixing agent, the resin and coverage coat can dissolve and penetrate into the fibers, so if the fabric product is thick and the resin and coverage coat do not penetrate sufficiently,
It is best to repeat the process of spraying the fixing agent, placing it on release paper, and applying pressure and heat. Example (2) is a printing method suitable for thick cloth products, but can also be effectively printed on fiber structures other than non-clothing materials such as toweling, synthetic leather, and wallpaper.
