Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable a ship operator to receive sound signal using a tranceiver in the ship by providing a sound synthesizer at a quay side and by converting ship operating signal for quay-approach into the voice signal. CONSTITUTION:Radar measurement devices 4a and 4b utilizing a Doppler-radar method, for instance, are provided on a quay with specific distance in between and each the device is faced to a bow part 1a and a stern part 1b, respectively, to measure distances from the quay. The measured distance values are converted into synthesized voice in a data processing device and transmitted to a large size ship 1 by a data voice transmitter 10 for enabling a tranceiver 11 to receive the voice. In this case, Doppler type measurement devices are used for both devices 4a and 4b, but it is not limitted to use the Doppler type measurement devices only if the device to be used is able to measure positions.
