Abstract

PURPOSE:To print pictures also on solid curved surface by a method wherein paste film is pasted entirely on a transferring position of a transferring object, heated, and the paste film is removed after a pattern constituted of toner is transferred so as to transfer the toner to the transferring position. CONSTITUTION:The end of a paste film 2 having a toner 3 thereon is raised up slightly from a cut out transfer paper. A transferring position of a transferring object i.e., the surface of a tile T is covered with a piece of a transfer sheet with the paste film 2 at down side. A reinforced release paper is peeled off by pressing the end of the paste film 2. The release paper is taken off leaving only the paste film on the surface. A cloth is placed on the paste film and hot-press is performed. After the hot-press, it is rubbed with a switable tool so as to stick fast the paste film further to the tile, cooled naturally, and a softening solvent is infiltrated in the paste film so as to soften the paste film to agar state. Then, the paste film is peeled off slowly by confirming that the toner 3 is left on the tile T. Lastly, the tile is burned so that a design pattern constituted by the toner 3 is firmly transferred on the tile.

[Prior Art] Goods decorated with beautiful patterns and colors fill people's hearts and enrich their lives. However, everyday items beautifully decorated with gold, silver, and precious stones are too expensive for ordinary people to afford. Therefore, decoration began to be more commonly done through painting.

[0003] Modern painting tends to be done industrially by printing means such as printing. However, when painting on a curved surface with a large curvature, the base paper would partially lift up from the curved surface, making normal printing difficult.

[0004] When painting curved surfaces, especially cylindrical surfaces, roll printing is possible, and for spherical surfaces, a method commonly called octopus printing is possible, but with either method, the plate must be raised. Therefore, it is not suitable for high-mix, low-volume production. However, if the paintings were painted by hand, the products would become very expensive.

[Means for Solving the Problems] In the present invention, first, toner is placed in a predetermined pattern on the surface of a soluble glue film on a mount, and then the glue film is transferred with the toner placement surface in contact with the transfer target. Peel off the glue film from the mount while placing it in the position, and after completely pasting the glue film on the transfer target position,
An attempt was made to solve the above problem by adopting a method of transferring the pattern formed by the toner by heating, removing the adhesive film, and then transferring the toner to the transfer position.

[0007] In this method, by employing a transfer printing method, it is not necessary to set up a plate, and therefore, it is possible to cope with high-mix, low-volume production, and also succeeded in reducing printing costs. Furthermore, by placing the toner on a soluble glue film, the glue film expands and contracts and completely sticks to the curved surface, making it possible to print on any curved surface.

[0010] A silicone resin is uniformly applied to one side of pulp paper, such as high-quality paper, which exhibits a certain degree of resistance to water wetting. Furthermore, acrylic resin is coated on top of this silicone film layer to strengthen the paper quality. A water-soluble adhesive is applied to the release surface of the thus obtained reinforced release paper to form a film. This glue is made by adding about 10% of a water-soluble silicone antifoaming agent to a water-soluble synthetic resin liquid agent for adjusting fiber texture (manufactured by NICCA CHEMICAL CO., LTD.; product name: Casesol O-5). It is used diluted with.

[0012] Using such a transfer sheet, printing is performed on the surface of a square tile. First, an inverted color copy is made using an electrostatic copying machine (Canon Inc.; Canon Pixel Dio) with the glue film side of the transfer sheet as the copying surface. The design to be copied is much smaller than the transfer sheet (B4 size) and is suitable for a 7cm square tile, and after the transfer, only the part where the design was copied is cut out from the transfer sheet.

After that, the edge of the glue film on which the toner is placed is slightly raised from the cut out transfer paper, and the transfer sheet piece is placed on the transfer position of the transfer target, that is, on the surface of the tile in this embodiment, with the glue film facing down. cover. Next, the reinforced release paper is peeled off by pressing the edge of the glue film, leaving only the glue film on the tile surface, and the release paper is removed. After confirming that the pattern on the glue film remaining on the tile surface has not shifted from the transfer position, a cloth with a thickness of about 1 mm is placed on top of the glue film and hot pressed at a temperature of about 160° C. for about 25 seconds.

After pressing, the glue film is further adhered to the tile by rubbing with a horse towel, and then allowed to cool naturally. Next, a softening solvent is soaked into the glue film to soften it into an agar-like state, and then the toner is applied. Gently peel off the adhesive film, making sure that it remains on the tile. Finally, the tiles are baked at a temperature of about 140 to 150 degrees Celsius for about 30 minutes, so that the design made up of the toner is firmly transferred to the tiles. The softening solvent used to soften the glue film was a mixed solution of about 20% water and about 80% ethyl alcohol, and although it did not dissolve Canon's toner at all, it was able to soften the glue film. If water to which no alcohol is added is used as a solvent, the glue film will dissolve immediately, so although it is possible to dissolve the glue film, it is difficult to soften it to the extent that it can be easily peeled off.

The transfer sheet can also be obtained by coating an acrylic film with a glue film similar to the above example. Therefore, this time, we will use a transfer sheet using this acrylic film to transfer the image onto a ceramic plate. After performing inverted copying on the transfer sheet in the same manner as in the above example, only the pattern portion is cut out to an appropriate size. Next, the edges of the glue film are slightly raised, the transfer sheet is soaked in a peeling solvent to slightly soften the glue film, and the transfer sheet is placed on the transfer position.
Peel off the acrylic film. In this embodiment, the ceramic plate to be transferred is not a flat plate, and the transfer position is also curved in a concave shape. Therefore, after peeling off the acrylic film, the slightly softened glue film was pressed down with a soft cloth to make it adhere tightly to the curved surface of the ceramic plate. At this time, it is best to push out the excess peeling solvent from under the adhesive film to bring it into close contact.

[0016] After this, the toner pattern is transferred to a ceramic plate by blowing hot air with a hair dryer, and after cooling naturally, a tissue containing plenty of softening solvent is placed over the glue film, and the glue film is blown with the softening solvent. Adhere the glue film to the tissue while softening it, and peel off the glue film together with the tissue. Furthermore, heat the ceramic plate at a temperature of about 140 to 150 degrees Celsius for about 30 minutes.
After baking for about a minute, the pattern made up of the toner will be firmly fixed. The softening solvent used in this example was approximately 20% water;
A mixed solution of about 80% ethyl alcohol, and the stripping solvent is ethyl alcohol. The glue film is water-soluble and is less soluble and softened in pure ethyl alcohol than in a mixture of water and ethyl alcohol.

As described above, according to the present invention, since transfer is performed using a highly flexible glue film, transfer printing is possible not only on flat surfaces but also on curved surfaces. Further, when performing the transfer of the present invention, the transfer sheet of the present invention strengthens the too-soft adhesive film with a release paper to facilitate the work before transfer. Therefore, the present invention makes it possible to print various three-dimensional objects very easily and at low cost, and has industrial value.
